Hello Ticklrs! Over the past couple months, we’ve been hard at work to vastly improve the Tickld experience. We’ve collected and analysed your feedback, and organised our new development schedule around your wishes.
Below, you will find what we’ve termed the Tickld Roadmap. These are the features that we’ve developed and are currently testing, that we’re developing and that we plan to develop in the near future. These new features will be released incrementally over the next few weeks as we test and tweak to ensure they’re functional, secure and above all, to the satisfaction of the Tickld community.
The Tickld Roadmap
Block - Allowing you to manage a block list. You can choose to prevent other users from communicating with you in comment threads and on your profile page.
Direct Messaging - Allowing to communicate privately with other community members.
Email and Push Notifications - Choose to send your Tickld notifications to your email inbox. You’ll be able to toggle these notifications by type.
General Discussion Forum
Community-managed Comment Images and Gifs
New Sections - This is still a bit of a secret, and the finalised list is TBA; however, we can confirm the introduction of the much-requested Art section.
New “you’ve been mentioned” Notifications
iOS App Improvements
Higher Resolution Uploads and Larger File Sizes
User Profile Page Improvements
Favourite User Upload Feed
…and more that we can’t mention right now, but we’ll happily share with you in the coming weeks!
As always, we truly appreciate your feedback, and thank you for being a part of the Site! We can’t wait to share our hard work with you!

Recent posts and comments on the Site have suggested that the Tickld community does not understand the role played by the User Moderators. The Tickld Team has given us the opportunity to explain ourselves through this blog post. Below, we explain our privileges and the thought process involved in applying them.
User Moderators are users that have demonstrated a high-level of commitment to the Tickld community by uploading enjoyable posts, collecting high positive karma, encouraging constructive conversation and demonstrating exceptional knowledge of Tickld and its community. User Moderators DO NOT work for Tickld. We hold the position on a volunteer basis. Any user that wishes to volunteer may apply to be a User Moderator by clicking the link 'User Moderator Application' in the 'Odds and Ends' tab at the bottom of every page.
Often, community members have concerns, problems or suggestions about for the Site. Common situations include reports of trolls, suggestions for new comment images or complaints about mistakenly removed posts. If you find yourself in any of these situations, there are multiple ways of contacting the User Moderators or the Tickld Team.
For messages of relative importance, send the Tickld Team an email at hello[at]tickld[dot]com. They try to reply to every email they receive. For things such as comment images and suggestions, it is best to leave a comment on the Tickld Administrator's profile at www.tickld.com/user/tickld. If you would like to notify a moderator about a troll, spammer or gross violation of the rules, it is best to contact a User Moderator. We have authorisation to deal with spammers and trolls. Simply leave a comment on any User Moderator's profile and we will reply ASAP. We recommend selecting a User Moderator as a favourite user so you can easily report a problem.
We are all working very hard to make Tickld community a better place!
A major responsibility of the User Moderator is to issue warnings. When a warning is issued to a user it can be for several reasons, all of which are related to a rules violation. Warnings will often be issued to a user in lieu of enforcement action in situations where the User Moderator has made the decision not to enforce a rule, but still wants to let the other user know the have violated a rule. One example would be in the case of reposts. There are many instances where a certain post is proven to be a repost; however, a User Moderator may choose not to delete the post. Reasons a repost would not be removed:

We've been busy these past couple months improving the website from all angles. Ongoing development with the iPhone App, the beginnings of the Android App, mobile web development, improvements to our infrastructure to guarantee 99.999% uptime and the development of new and exciting features. We will be releasing these new features incrementally over the next month. A number of the new features are the direct result of your feedback. You can look forward to direct messaging, blocks, comment anchors and one very big, very exciting addition to the Site... We cannot stress enough how much we value your feedback and look forward to reading your emails and posts to our profile page as the new features appear on the Site. As always, thanks for being a part of the Tickld Community!

Our sincerest apologies for the delay in this blog post. We were kindly reminded to post by Tyler2606, so you can thank him for the update.
We've been working hard over the past few months to put together a few exciting updates for the Tickld community. June is going to be a big month here at Tickld. Our plan is to release something new every week in June. Our first change has been the introduction of Gift Karma, which allows you to reward other users for exceptional contributions to the Tickld community. We're still fine-tuning the feature, so expect a few small updates over the next few weeks. It's our hope that Gift Karma will continue to encourage positive contributions to the community. In the near future, we'll allow you to exchange your karma for new features such as coloured comment text.
We're hard at work on our own meme generator, which should be made available shortly. Also as promised, username watermarking and an increased daily upload threshold are in the works.
The biggest news; however, you'll have to wait patiently for. Next week we'll make the big announcement... The number-one requested thing by you, the Tickld community, will be made a reality... Any guesses?

A fun addition to the Site this week... 'Night Mode' is a little treat for all of you who sit in complete darkness, lit only by the glow of your computer screen and read page after page on Tickld. After a while, that bright white glow begins to take its toll on your eyes! A quick click of the mouse, and the background fades to black, reducing the amount of light from the monitor and allowing you an opportunity to browse even more! You're welcome. Love, Tickld x

You may have noticed that a few things have changed around the Site! The biggest change is the addition of the new 'Vote' section, which finally does away with the old 5 votes system that you all complained about so much. We took your feedback to heart! Keep it coming! We promise, we do listen to and (try our very best) to respond to every word you send our way!
You may also have noticed the addition of the 'Quick Comment' feature, allowing you to post short comments without having to open a new page in your browser. For longer comments, you'll still have to access the individual post's page. The comments have been upgraded, the user profile's 'Recent Activity' has been upgraded, and the 'karma' system has been upgraded to tell the difference between unwelcome use and engagement. Finally, you'll hopefully notice that website is running a little faster. We've moved to a more powerful server, trimmed the fat from our code and improved the general functionality of the Site! We're not done yet! Keep the feedback coming! We implement changes in response to your thoughts and ideas! As always, thanks for being a part of the Site!

There has been a great deal of feedback from you, our wonderful user-base, over the past few weeks. We've been working hard to prioritise the list of changes you have recommended, and started to write the code. Keep an eye out for some exciting changes to the functionality of the website!
We figure you're deserving of a hint or two, so for those of you that read the blog, here's a heads-up... The 5 votes system you all love to hate is on it's way out... The comments are getting a new look! We're also looking to encourage both new and established web artists to post their work on Tickld. It's an amazing opportunity for some exposure... If you or anyone you know might be interested to regularly publish your work with us, send an email our way! As always, thanks for being a part of the Site!

Another new feature just went live! The all-new 'Ask' section is now accessible (by way of the equally new and exciting 'sections' navigation bar). Use the Ask section to pose questions to the Tickld community, and wait as the replies roll in. All questions asked will immediately appear in the New section, no waiting for 5 up votes here! Click around, participate in the fun and let us know what you think. Your feedback is always appreciated.
