We could just blame the cave version of our species for this, but it's impossible to say for sure that if the first upright humans had all done the exact same activities that we would all be of the same physical capabilities today. The fact remains that nature chose women and only women to bear offspring, which made women less of an asset for things like hunting for a considerable amount of time. This also led to women being responsible for nurturing offspring, which just led to men being more responsible for physical strength and endurance. It is quite literally impossible for our species to be equal physically without completely changing the reproduction cycle. I suppose it may not seem like much, but no one is going to stop you from lifting weights nowadays, or force you to have kids.

That definition of feminism does encapsulate the true definition. Obviously, this has been warped several times over in its application. No definition of any social movement can actually place boundaries on the movement itself. People will choose to see and use it however they want. People are inherently selfish, after all. What's also worth pointing out is the fact that this definition's subject is women's rights, which makes complete sense. It's also stuck in an infinite loop of constantly relating the common female's life to that of, I suppose, a common male's life. It really isn't possible for us to be equal if we aren't all the same gender. Everyday social interactions are always going to skew things for each gender and nearly every type of personality, which can alter the progression of all of our lives considerably. If we are to always equate feminine achievement with regards to the achievements of men, then we are giving very little respect to the individual while focusing on the group. It's also worth pointing out that because the definition of feminism appears to say that in every respect women are treated worse than men and thus needing all possible social change to occur in the name of women, then it completely ignores the many biases that favor women and/or hurt men. The root of feminism is feminine. We can act like it also covers the bases for males, but a movement wholly dedicated to and led by women is only going to work on behalf of women until the, most likely, impossible event occurs where all women actually feel as if they have achieved enough. While continuous strides towards equality are admirable, feminism in and of itself will not be the reason for massive social change. It will play a role, but overall changes in attitudes and reasonableness paired with an overhaul of the generational gaps(aka old people dying, babies born) in our world will be the biggest reasons why anything happens. The main reason for just about all of these events is a lack of people who oppose it or a lack of willingness of these people to act against change. Just look at how rare it is for someone to actually switch political parties in the US. Adults are stubborn in their beliefs, which essentially makes their children responsible for enacting a different world than the one they grow up in.

Seems a bit crazy to assume that everyone everywhere else is that much smarter than us when we are colossally more understanding, intuitive, and capable than every other known species on our planet, dolphins coming in 2nd place and yet, most likely, are not even capable of comprehending pretty much everything that happens on land, let alone the existence of solar systems or the universe. We could easily argue that human progression on our level is a radical anomaly due to how far off any of the challengers are in our little spot in the universe. A species becoming able to traverse space for even a mile is so rare that just 1 out of approximately 8.7 million species on Earth have accomplished that and that 1 managed to launch a space probe completely out of our solar system. Sure, it's hard to relate our intelligence to anybody else's when have yet to identify anybody else, but if you consider 1 out of 8,700,000 to just be evidence of results on a micro scale and impossible match up to the stats elsewhere, then you're just grasping at straws. Our ignorance is not necessarily a sign of everybody else's intelligence. It may very well be true that the fact we understand just how little we know about the vast universe proves we really do know quite a bit.

Does your full name, by any chance, happen to be Led Hot Chilli Zepper?
ledhotzepper 0 karmaMarch 2014
If we're joking, then yes. If we're serious, then no. I can say that my username is a mixture of Led Zeppelin and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
WhichOnesPink 0 karmaMarch 2014
Of course we're not serious. And yes I was making sure if it was a mixture of these two bands. Just dropping by to tell you that it's awesome.

I would love to be happy, but any time I try to do something, I get the worst of it and when I don't do something I get a bunch of regret. I just can't win, but you are really great and I hope you're happy.
GrapeReaction [m] +1 karmaMarch 2014
I'm sorry to hear that. I know how that can be. I really hope things get better for you soon. You deserve to be happy. Thank you, you are sweet.

How dare you talk to your father's brother's niece's friend like that! Oh, I see the whole post disappeared...maybe it wasn't you.
weekendwarrior +1 karmaFebruary 2014
Yeah otherwise I could've responded on it still. Why would it have been me?
ledhotzepper +1 karmaFebruary 2014
Well, I mean, it's not like you even tried to stop Hitler...
weekendwarrior +1 karmaFebruary 2014
I asked him if he was doing anything bad and he said no!
ledhotzepper +1 karmaFebruary 2014
Typical, Katie! Never fully investigating a potential ruthless dictator. Just because he was passionate about art doesn't mean the passion ended there!
weekendwarrior +1 karmaFebruary 2014
Hitler was an artist!? Wow, you learn something new everyday!

Hey, way to go, man! Nice job on doing your thing. I actually really liked the candy crush post, but I rarely look at uploader names. Still, though, congrats and thank you. Hopefully, I'll be getting another one up there this week. I've got a pretty different post in the works and it could go either way.

Thanks, bro. I'll keep that in mind. You're not so bad yourself! Funny story: I actually bought a pair of cheap all white shoes back in high school and some nice art pens. Then I wrote a bunch of lyrics on them and drawings and such. I dubbed them my Led Hot Zeppers because it was a mashup of RHCP and LZ's names.
Clark77 +2 karmaAugust 2013

It was literally two pictures of two stickmen and it had no comic site affiliation. If that is a comic then 70% of all posts to this site are comics. I respectfully disagree with this decision.
