On Twitter, @techinsider shared a video of Astride Boinx’s new product development, LEX. While this design tries to look discreet, and advertised as an "an extension of your body,” the internet couldn’t help but refer to it as a kickstand for your bum, and more.

LEX is a “wearable chair,” that allows people to sit down, literally anywhere.

LEX looks somewhat “comfortable,” attempts to promote “good posture” and also claims lessen back problems. The device is also, “lightweight and portable,” and built using materials that are aerospace grade, and incredibly durable, but the internet can't handle it.

For business professionals who have to sit at a desk all day, we saw the standing desk as an alternative- a desk situated to the floor or wall, where one can stand instead of sit, while doing their work. The desks are known to help with back pain too, and one’s overall health. But will LEX actually replace the standing desk? Because it seems like just the opposite.

Vice.com admits, "It is a blessing and a gift to carry around an ass, a set of cushions that are nice to sit on." But with Lex, you can fasten it around your waist with straps that wrap around your legs. The attached aluminum legs hang below your buttox so that you can walk, run, dance, whatever, "until the urge to sit arrives (and it always does)."

And even though LEX looks innovative and useful, I can't help but wonder, does this concept make our lives more convenient, or just more lazy? Not to mention, I see some possible chafing in the near future.

As soon as LEX made its debut online, the internet couldn’t hold in their opinions.

It’s obvious that in the world we live in, we want things instantly. And I guess that includes sitting down... So, now we have the option to pop a squat (pun intended) anywhere we want to!
