Back in 2010, the Jaqi and Kevin Clements were excited to welcome their twin daughters, Ava Marie and Leah Rose, into the world. The couple knew their lives were about to change due to the twin's arrival, but they never could have guessed just how much. Read on to learn more about these stunningly gorgeous girls, and what they're up to these days.
The Twin’s Birth

Jaqi and Kevin Clements had a wonderful surprise on July 7, 2010. That was the day their twin daughters, Ava Marie and Leah Rose, were born. Although they were four and a half weeks early, Jaqi said it made “total sense that they would show up early, unannounced, and ready to take on anything.”
It didn’t take very long for friends and family alike to notice the twin’s appearances. After a while, Jaqi noticed there was a big similarity in what people were saying to her.

Their First Attempt At Modeling

“They’re so beautiful, you should really think about getting them into modeling,” Jaqi would constantly hear. So, Jaqi decided to take a shot at starting their careers.
After the twins were six months old, Jaqi enrolled them in a modeling agency in Los Angeles. However, this provided to be difficult for the family; with a two-year-old son to also take care of, Jaqi found it nearly impossible to balance her parenting duties with the twin’s modeling schedule.
So, after three months of modeling, the family called it quits.

Waiting For The Perfect Moment

Wanting to do what was best for her children, Jaqi opted to raise her children in a normal lifetime. However, there was something she had not concerned- what did they want to do?
This proved to be a difficult task, because they were toddlers after all. They couldn’t form complete sentences and were not old enough to make such a big life decision.
To make sure the twins would have complete control over their own futures, Jaqi decided to wait until they were a bit older to ask them such a life changing question.

The Lucky Number

Jaqi decided their seventh birthday, which fell on July 7, 2017, was the perfect day to ask her daughters about modeling. Her lucky number is seven, so it seemed like the ideal day.
So, Jaqi told the twins they could give modeling another shot in addition to their busy schedule of dance class and swim team practices if they choose to do so.

Excited To Get Back To Work

The girls were excited by the prospect of getting back into the modeling world, to nobody’s surprise. Jaqi said the girls were natural performers, and “was not surprised at all when they started jumping up and down and couldn’t wait to begin.”
Thankfully, their first modeling gig was pretty close to home. Their neighbor had recently opened up a children’s boutique, and need models to help market her business.
This job was the first for many for these young starlets.

Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things

Although the girls were excited to rejoin the world of modeling, Jaqi was a bit weary. She didn’t want to cake her young daughter’s faces with make-up and wanted them to wear age-appropriate outfits. She was concerned it could be detrimental to their development. So, Jaqi did everything herself at the beginning.
“I dug out my 10-year-old Nikon camera from a bin in the garage, put a few waves in the girl’s hair, dabbed on a little blush, and out we went to take some pictures,” said Jaqi.

Finding An Agency

Excited to get the girls back to work, Jaqi began searching for an agent. She had concerned about being able to find one since it had been six years since the girls had modeled, but she was able to find two using old contacts.
Jaqi signed her daughters with both of them, thinking double the agencies meant double the exposure. One issue did arise with this, as one of the agencies booked the girls for an audition they had just gone to with the other agency.
After a quick conversation, the issue was quickly cleared up.

Joining Social Media

As Ava Maire and Leah Rose began to get more popular, Jaqi decided it was time for them to dive into the world of social media. An Instagram account was made for the twins in July 2017 to serve as a portfolio and to help the girls gain a fanbase.
Over time, the account began to grow, amassing over 1.8 million followers in under three years.

Another Family Member Joins

It seems as though Ava and Leah were not the only ones in their family to catch the modeling bug. Their older brother, Chase, also took an interest in modeling and signed with the same agencies as his younger sisters.
In addition to modeling, Chase also enjoys acting. So far, he’s managed to score some roles in a couple of commercials.
Based off of his sister’s success, there’s definitely more in store for Chase.

Getting Job Offers

As Ava Maire and Leah Rose continued modeling, job offers began popping up like flowers. People began noticing their natural talent for modeling, and soon they got enough as six jobs per week.
Although this might seem like a to for two young girls, the twins were hungry for more. In order to make sure her girls are doing these jobs safely and with the right people, Jaqi has a series of questions she asks them. If anything seems off or sketchy, she doesn’t go through with the job.

The Negative Side Of Their Dream Job

It seems no matter what someone does, there’s always going to be somebody who wants to hate on them. Unfortunately, the twins were not exempt from this. One of the most frequent comments they recieve is the twins look sad in their photos. Some have come to believe the reason is that the twins are being forced to model, and they don’t actually want to do this.
Jaqi says this is far from the truth, as some photos just require the girls to look a bit more serious than others.

The Comments Get Pretty Annoying

Although she tries not to let it bother her, sometimes all of the negativity and hateful comments get to Jaqi. The comment she hates the most is “Let them be kids!”
Some people don’t seem to understand the girls are modeling because they have a profound love for it, and are doing so of their own free will. If at any point the girls wanted to stop, Jaqi would surely let them

Although Annoying, Jaqi Doesn’t Stop Them

Jaqi finds herself at the center of most criticisms, since most people believe she’s forcing her children to model. But Jaqi does her best to ignore the haters, because at the end of the day, she knows she’s doing what’s best for her children.
“I definitely don’t give any light to negative comments because I know myself that they are untrue and that’s really all that matters,” Jaqi says.

The Positive Side Of Their Dream Job

The pros definitely outweigh the cons when it comes to modeling. Each time the girls are booked for a job, it turns into a mini family vacation. Traveling together so much has helped the family become closer, and they get to meet new people and share experiences together.
Although with those new experiences, the girls are also sent clothes and products to test out and later review on their social media accounts.

Forming Close Relationships

Another positive to all the modeling is the twins are able to spend a lot of time with Jaqi. Since she doubles as their manager, the three of them are constantly together, traveling from one modeling gig to another.
According to Jaqi, this is one of the girls’ favorite parts about their dream job.
“They like spending time in the car with each other and with me… having some girl time together,” Jaqi commented.

Their First Year As Models

When the girls began their careers as models back in July 2017, they were skyrocketed to fame after an article was written about them by the Daily Mail.
Since then, the girls have continued to receive modeling gigs and deals. In addition to getting them more exposure, these jobs are giving the girls valuable experience that will only help further their careers as they get older.

Their Impressive Portfolio

Some of the deals the twins have been getting are from clothing brands and fashion publications have requested they model their products, which only improves their modeling skils.
With an impressive portfolio at only eight-years-old and a huge Instagram following, this only adds more wind to their sails.

An Average Day

What does an average day look like for Ava Marie and Leah Rose? After all, they do not have the same daily schedule as any other children. According to Jaqi, each day is different from the last.
“Whether it be private shopping experiences, gifted merchandise from brands all over the world, or taking pictures with fans, the girls have had an amazing ride so far,” Jaqi said.
No matter what job the twins end up booking, it’s sure to be a new and exciting experience for them.

The Decision Is Always Theirs

It’s a mutual agreement in the family the twins, along with their brother, can stop modeling if they ever decide they want to. The only reason their parents are allowing them to model is because it’s something all three of their children love, and they truly enjoy doing it.
As soon as one of them decides to call it quits, their parents will support their decision. At the end of the day, all Jaqi and Kevin want is it for their three children to be happy.

Looking Into the Future

It’s hard to believe everything these girls have accomplished, especially considering they’re still in elementary school. With the insane amount of success they’ve had, there’s a good chance Ava Marie and Leah Rose will still be modeling well into their high school years, and maybe even long after that.
They might even dip into other venues, as they’ve started a YouTube channel where they post vlogs about their daily lives.
With supportive parents and a wide world of opportunities, there’s no telling what these talented young ladies will do next.
