Imagine going to summer camp with Justin Beiber before he was discovered by Scooter Braun and Usher. Or going to university with Prince William and Kate Middleton before they became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“I once had a teacher who also taught Jim Carrey. Said he was the strangest kid he’d ever met and that he would have full conversations with the wall. He’d give the wall a voice and respond back.”

“My brother went to elementary school with Bruno Mars. I was a grade behind but still got to hang out and go to some of his birthday parties. In those days he was an Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonator and use to do the school talent show every year. He was super cool and the only one of my brother’s friends who would be nice to me.”

“I went to high school with Post Malone. Initially got to know him through a mutual interest in guitar, and late night shifts at a fried chicken restaurant. He was an interesting guy. He was really down to earth and not afraid to do things his way.

He never came off to me as super extroverted, but was always a killer stage performer, regardless of the audience or style of music.

The whole persona hes cultivated is out of this world, but I really think he just always wanted to be a rockstar.

It was kinda surreal when ‘White Iverson’ blew up, because I was like, ‘hey I used to box up chicken with that dude.’ But, Ive gained a solid ice breaker for at least a few more years. So thats pretty neat.”

“My cousins went to high school and were close friends with Channing Tatum. He actually used to come to our Thanksgiving dinners and family events a lot when I was younger.

He was a super nice guy and overall fun person. I somehow didn’t make the connection that my cousin’s friend Chan was actually him until a few years ago when they posted a picture together on social media.”

“I went to middle school with Casey Neistat. On a school ski trip once, him and his brother Van were jumping off the chairlift to ride the fresh powder below the lift. I wanted to be cool like them, so I jumped off on my next run. I broke my arm and have a metal plate in it still, some 20 years later.

So Im still pretty salty about that.”

“My cousin went to school with Daniel Radcliffe in 2000 or 2001. So round about the time he was discovered and signed on to play Harry Potter, I reckon.

He said he was a ‘very nice boy’, his mom said he was extremely polite and a bit precocious but in the most adorable way possible! Exactly how you imagine Dan and how he appeared in interviews 2001 onwards till he became comfortable with the fame.”

“My brother-in-law’s sister went to university with Prince William and Kate Middleton. She has nice things to say about him, like he ‘tries to blend in, quite down-to-Earth, very polite, seems sentimental (apparently he got teary-eyed at one conversation when he just mentioned his mom). The only remotely negative thing she said about William was that he was, ‘extremely bland.’

But, doesn’t have nice things to say about the Duchess of Cambridge from back then.”

” Mac Miller was a year younger than me. I wasn’t really friends with him either…BUT I remember watching a video of him and another kid (who I actually knew) rapping in the cafeteria, and I remember thinking ‘Wow…Malcom is actually really good’.”

He was a nice guy to be honest. Not ‘haha’ funny but you know someone you could hang with and have no issues.

He was really bad at history and English though. Bottom lowest grades of the class always and if it wasn’t for Adrian he’d be last in science, too.

“I went to high school with Aziz Ansari. He used to always answer questions wrong in class and try to argue that he was actually right. Like, if the teacher asked what year America was discovered, he would say ‘1896’ and tell the teacher they were wrong. He would ask for their source and claim the source was unreliable. Eventually, the teachers would ignore him then he’d tell me they were racist. I wasn’t really sure if he was funny or an oddball but I guess he was both.”

“My cousin went to high school with George R. R. Martin and recalled having a freshman literature class with him. When it was time for everyone to read their stories, Georges was BY FAR the best. Apparently the entire class simultaneously dropped their jaws. The guys a talent. Oh, and apparently he was a typically nice dude.

Oh, and he started a fight club.”

“My father-in-law went to school with Bruce Willis and grew up in the same area so they played baseball together. He says he was as good kid but with a horrible stammer so he started taking voice coaching lessons to correct it.

The rest is history.”

Surprisingly, those that remember him from school say he was more of a goody-two-shoes and was never into burning the herb. He played football and supposedly still keeps in contact with some old friends here.”

“My brother went to high school with Jake Lloyd (the person who played young Anakin Skywalker in Phantom Menace) and according to him he wasn’t the most popular guy and was even bullied at one point.”

“I went to school with Ellen Page. We were in the same group of friends, went to all the same parties and ate lunch together. She kept thinking I was calling her ‘Hellen’ all the time which was weird.

‘My name is ELLEN! Not Hellen!’

My best friend dated her for a bit and they were nice together. She’s one of those people that acts exactly how you’d expect. She’s a bit timid and shy but very nice.”

“I went to school with Christina Perri. We were pretty tight freshman year, and then I went the super angsty teen route and she took the more chill ‘hippie’ route. We always still got along but didn’t hang out after that. She was always incredibly nice, regardless.”

“I went to high school with Carrie Underwood. She was a grade below me. She sang at just about every football and basketball game we had, as well as the yearly ‘Old Settlers Day’ celebration. She was nice, though there are some that might say she was just the teensiest bit snobby.

One thing I remember: She sometimes had a strange sense of fashion. She’d sometimes wear these odd red leather pants with an old, faded Dan Marino Dolphins jersey.”

This little jerk would come into the pizza place I worked at and would ALWAYS send his pizza back 2 or 3 times. He wanted so much sauce that the dough would end up being half raw. We’d always have to make the pizza in a special way to accommodate him.

Screw that guy.”

“I went to high school with Nina Dobrev, the girl from The Vampire Diaries. I was a couple years older than her but we would frequently be at the same parties and she was always a total sweetheart.

A close friend of mine (who was one of her best friends during high school) got to visit her on the set of Vampire Diaries and hung out with the cast once or twice.”

“My older brother went to middle school with Sean Kingston. He said he was annoying and quiet which seems to contradict, but then again, my older brother is bit of a jerk so I wouldn’t take his word for it.”
