Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence are not feuding over their upcoming weddings, despite a false tabloid report attempting to pit the actresses against each other. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story. We’re told there’s “no truth” to any of it.
Wedding Competition
“ScarJo vs. J-Law: Battle of the Brides” reads a headline in the latest issue of Life & Style. The accompanying article says the two stars are in a fierce competition as they prepare to walk down the aisle with their respective fiancés, “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost and art gallery owner Cooke Maroney.
New York Drama?
According to the outlet, Johansson and Lawrence have never liked each other and the situation is getting worse now that they’re both supposedly planning weddings in the New York area. “They’re not exactly racing each other to the altar, but I think it’s safe to say they want to outshine the other on their big days,” an alleged insider tells the magazine.
Who You Calling A Phony?
The supposed source further contends that Johansson “has always been a little envious of the roles Jen’s gotten over her” because she believes she’s more talented “and puts Jen in a lesser category.” The Avengers star doesn’t like the fellow actress’s “over-the-top personality” either, says the unidentified tipster, adding, “She feels Jennifer is a bit of a phony.”
Wedding In The Hamptons
From there, the so-called “insider” maintains that Johansson and Lawrence “both recently viewed the same exclusive private residence in the Hamptons as a possible wedding venue.” The questionable source goes on to say that the actresses “would never want to marry at the same place,” so they’re keeping tabs on each other and “the pressure to outdo one another is huge.”
Feud Forgotten

The magazine hides behind an unidentified “insider” to sell its story, but Gossip Cop checked in with Johansson’s spokesperson, who tells us, “There is no truth to this in every aspect; from the supposed feud, to looking at the same venue, to this fabricated competition. There has never been and is no ‘feud’ between the ladies, just mutual respect.”
Made-Up Mischief To Make Money
Johansson’s rep goes on to call Life & Style’s story “just another made-up attempt to sell magazines by continuing to perpetuate the myth that two successful women can’t get along, are in a feud or jealous or envious of each other.”
Simply Boring

The actress’s rep adds, “It is lowbrow, sexist, and simply boring.” Meanwhile, Lawrence’s spokesperson similarly confirms that the outlet’s article is fiction. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid back in 2017 for wrongly reporting that Lawrence was planning a wedding with Darren Aronofsky. The pair split shortly after we debunked the story.
Calling It Quits, Then Engaged
And last month, the magazine’s sister publication, Star, falsely claimed Johansson and Jost were “calling it quits.” The couple announced their engagement days later. It’s clear the gossip media knows very little about either actress’s personal life, including their relationship with one another.
Kit Harrington Vs. Jason Momoa
Is Emilia Clarke really caught in the middle of a “feud” between Kit Harington and Jason Momoa? One of the tabloids claims there’s a whole lot of drama surrounding the three “Game of Thrones” stars. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can set the record straight.
What Was The Downfall Of It All?
According to Star, Harington and Momoa ended their friendship when Momoa’s character was written off the show several years ago. An alleged insider tells the magazine that the falling out was a result of “Kit’s boozing.”
Stuck In The Middle
“Jason got sick of Kit’s wild ways,” adds the supposed source. “You have to feel sorry for Emilia Clarke, who adores them both and is stuck in the middle.” The story, however, doesn’t make a ton of sense.
Friends Or Foes?
For starters, Momoa left “Game of Thrones” back in 2012 after just one season. The actor has stayed friendly with the majority of his co-stars over the years, Harington included.
The Emmy For It All
Back in 2016, Momoa took to Instagram after the HBO show won the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. The actor posted a photo of him and Harington, along with the caption, “Congrats to my kit super proud of him and all the cast and crew.”
Really Seems Like They Hate Each Other
Momoa actually went out of the way to single out his friend while also giving a shoutout to the entire show. Back in 2017, Momoa shared Instagram photos of him and Harington sharing drinks in a bar with a few of their other co-stars.
Kitty Kat
It doesn’t appear the Aquamanstar has an issue with Harington consuming alcohol. Just last month, Momoa took to Instagram to hype Harington’s “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig. “I love this man ALMOST as much as I love @nbcsnl,” wrote the actor, who went on to say he was “so proud” of his friend, and added, “#kittykat love u bro congrats.”
The Final Season
Also last month, Harington and Momoa were photographed hanging out at an after-party following the premiere of the final season of “Game of Thrones.”
This Is A Battle Clarke Isn’t In
Despite the overwhelming amount of evidence disproving the tabloid’s feud rumors, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the situation, who confirms the former co-stars are close friends. As for Clarke, the actress isn’t caught in the middle of a nonexistent battle.
Fake Fights
It’s worth noting, Star has a habit of throwing a celebrity into the middle of a fake fight between two other stars. Gossip Cop previously busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Taylor Swift was at the center of a “feud” between Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively. That storyline, much like this latest one, was completely fabricated.

There have been countless tabloid stories about Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie actively feuding with one another. In reality, Brad Pitt’s two exes don’t have any sort of relationship, good or bad. Here are few wrong rumors about the actresses that Gossip Cop has debunked.
Drama Over Brad Pitt
In June, Gossip Cop busted New Idea for falsely claiming Aniston was furious over Jolie supposedly “dragging her feet” on finalizing her divorce from Pitt. The reason?
Aniston And Pitt Back Together?
The magazine contended that the “Friends” star was back together with her ex-husband and wanted him to be officially divorced so they could “move on” with their lives. In reality, Aniston and Pitt haven’t rekindled a romance, as reps for both stars have assured us countless times.
And Now Justin?
The actress also has no involvement in her ex-husband’s divorce from Jolie, and no opinion on the matter. Back in March, Gossip Cop called out NW for making up a story about Jolie getting “revenge” on Aniston by hooking up with her ex, Justin Theroux.
Does Jolie Really Love All Of Aniston’s Men?
According to the outlet, Jolie reached out to Theroux to discuss collaborating on a movie together, but with the “ulterior motive” of wooing him. The narrative was totally absurd. Jolie and Theroux never met up in any capacity, and as time has proven, they’re certainly not “hooking up.”

Last September, Gossip Cop debunked an NW story claiming Jolie had warned Aniston to stay away from Pitt and her six kids. The report was based on the false notion that the “Friends” star was back together with her ex-husband and spending time with his children, which wasn’t the case.

Around the same time the article emerged, “Entertainment Tonight” reported that Pitt had “taken a step away from dating because of the importance of his children and also to help mend fences with Angelina.”
Now Netflix?
The idea that the actor was not only dating his ex-wife again, but bringing her around his kids amid a divorce battle, was simply ludicrous. Shortly before that, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Aniston and Jolie were feuding over who would become the biggest Netflix star.
Netflix Nemesis
The story was made up because Jolie directed a film for the streaming service, while Aniston is starring in several movies for the content provider. The bogus rivalry was created simply because both actresses happen to be working for the company.
Baby Plans
However, Aniston and Jolie also have busy and successful careers outside of Netflix and aren’t competing over their status at the streaming service. And also last year, Gossip Cop called out In Touch for wrongly contending that Jolie was “furious” over Aniston’s supposed plan to have a baby with Pitt.
Whatever It Takes
The ridiculous article came on the heels of a previous one about Aniston and Pitt trying to conceive a child, either naturally or through IVF. Spokespeople for both stars went on the record to refute the story.
Double The Exes, Double The Trouble
Jolie wasn’t enraged over an imaginary situation. Pitt’s two exes certainly aren’t friends, but this ongoing saga about them constantly fighting is simply untrue.
Kim Kardashian Vs. Kylie Jenner
Is Kim Kardashian in a “bitter” feud with Kylie Jenner over the makeup mogul’s success? That was the premise of a magazine article from last year. Gossip Cop debunked the claim when it first came out, and time has further proven we were right to correct that untrue report.
Mad At The Billionaire

According to an In Touch piece from a year ago, Kardashian was “bitter” about her youngest sibling creating a giant makeup line and amassing a fortune. The tabloid maintained the famous reality star’s negative emotions were triggered by a Forbes cover story about Jenner becoming the youngest self-made billionaire ever.
Envious Sisters
As a result, asserted the outlet, the two sisters were locked in a “feud” and had virtually nothing to do with one another. As Gossip Cop noted, far from Kardashian being “jealous” of Jenner, the two women were (and remain to this day) extremely close.
Congratulations Were In Order
In fact, Jenner’s big sister couldn’t have been more proud of her success. Right after the Forbes issue came out, Kardashian wrote “congrats” on Twitter to Jenner, who replied, “love you.”
Love And Admiration
Those are hardly the sentiments of people who are bitter or in a feud. It’s even clearer 12 months after that article was published how much the two love and adore one another.
Blessed With The Best
A month ago, for instance, Jenner posted a photo on Instagram of her with Kardashian, along with a caption that read, “blessed with the best.” And in a picture Kardashian uploaded to Instagram earlier this month that included all of her sisters, Jenner is seen holding hands with her sibling and lovingly draping her arm around her neck.
Wasn’t Reliable Then, Isn’t Reliable Now
It also bears mentioning how since that inaccurate article, In Touch has not become any more reliable with its reporting about the rich and famous sisters.
Scott And Jenner Wedding?
Last September, Gossip Cop busted the magazine when it insisted Jenner and Travis Scott were getting married in a wedding that would cost $30 million. Obviously that never happened.
Divorce After 4?
The outlet was also completely wrong when it contended in a cover story that Kardashian and Kanye West were going to divorce after the birth of their fourth baby. Their child, Psalm, was born a couple of months ago, and the two continue to be happy and in love with each other.
Incredibly Proud Of West
Days ago, for example, Kardashian gushed on Instagram how “incredibly proud” she was of West, who himself was the front page subject of a Forbes article. Gossip Cop occasionally reexamines stories from the previous year to show how they’ve held up over time.
All Love Between The Siblings
There’s no question 365 days later that the tabloid’s narrative about Jenner and Kardashian being in a bitter feud because of the younger sibling’s success was 100 percent false. And while their affection for one another remains genuine, one has wonder how legitimate and trustworthy the publication’s Jenner and Kardashian sources are.
