Are the Royals at War? Is Kate Middleton having another baby? Does Prince Harry hate William? There are plenty of royal rumors flying. We turned to Gossip Cop to debunk the most ridiculous.
Are Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle “Mothers At War”?

Are Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle “mothers at war”? That’s the premise behind a new cover story. Gossip Cop, however, can correct the highly sensationalized and inaccurate report that once again pits the wives of Prince William and Prince Harry against each other.
Game, Set Match?

According to Life & Style, which has been provably wrong on many occasions about the two duchesses, Markle and Middleton recently had a dramatic “face off,” during which Prince Harry’s wife tore into the future queen about her parenting skills. The tabloid alleges it all when down as Middleton and the former “Suits” star watched their husbands participate in a charity polo match on July 10. The magazine quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “Kate let her kids run around freely and have fun, whereas Meghan didn’t want anyone near Archie.”
“I’m Already A Better Mom Than You”

“They clearly seem to clash on their ideas about parenthood,” continues the supposed source, who adds that Markle then hurled an “insult” at Middleton, illustrating how “the duchesses have been at war more than ever.” The anonymous tipster asserts, “Meghan isn’t one to mince words. So when she felt Kate wasn’t properly controlling her children, Meghan bluntly told her, ‘I’m already a better mom than you.’”
The seemingly made-up “insider” goes on to contend, “Kate was furious and stormed off to find William. It was so bad.” “Kate tried to get her revenge by ignoring Meghan for the rest of the polo match, but it was hard not to react to all the death stares Meghan was sending her way,” claims the questionable source. The incident was “incredibly awkward,” writes the magazine, which also reports that Prince William and Prince had words with each other as a result.
The Final Straw?

The tabloid wraps up its manufactured tale by relating how “Kate isn’t going to forgive and forget anytime soon.” It then has its dubious “insider” maintain that the “face off” was the “final straw for Kate, she’s washing her hands of Meghan for good.” The almost assuredly phony tipster concludes, “I can’t picture them ever making up at this point. Too much has happened between Kate and Meghan. They’re just very different people who will never get along.”
Make Up At Wimbledon

Of course, three days after the two royals supposedly clashed in public at the polo match, Markle and Middleton sat together in the Royal Box at Wimbledon and were all smiles as they watched the women’s single finals. Gossip Cop will cut to the chase: Life & Style’s cover story is a complete fabrication. Middleton and Markle did not have an argument at the polo match over each other’s parenting styles or anything else. And it bears mentioning that not one single legitimate outlet claimed the two sparred at the charity event.
Wimble-DO!

Far from the duchesses being “at war more than ever” and Middleton “washing her hands of Meghan for good,” she appeared perfectly happy to watch the women’s tennis match with her sister-in-law. While there’s no evidence whatsoever of the tabloid’s account at the polo match, which was equally public, there are many photos of Middleton and Markle enjoying each other’s company at Wimbledon. And there’s little reason to believe the publication’s unsubstantiated article, considering how often it has published flat-out lies about both women on its covers.
True of Fake?

To recap: The magazine’s whole article about the duchesses being “mothers at war” is hinged on unverifiable quotes from an unidentifiable source. Meanwhile, not one other outlet alleged they had a “face off” and words with each other about who’s the better parent. Other more reputable publications simply noted both royals brought their kids to the polo match without any drama. And finally, much like the aforementioned cover stories, it will be even clear over time how untrue the latest one is about Markle and Middleton.
What Happened To Kate Middleton’s Fourth Baby?

What happened to Kate Middleton and Prince William’s fourth baby? Nine months ago, a celebrity magazine was so sure the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were having another child that it featured the claim on its cover. At the time, Gossip Cop confirmed the report was untrue, and now it’s clear the article was nothing more than another tabloid fabrication.
Back in October 2018, Star maintained on its front page that Middleton was expecting another baby, a mere half-year after she and Prince William welcomed their third child, Prince Louis. The outlet asserted it had an “insider” who leaked how Middleton and Prince William wanted a fourth kid “quickly” after Prince Louis’ birth, but that friends were concerned about her and the baby since the duchess was rail thin from dieting. The alleged palace source further contended the royals hadn’t yet shared their big news with Queen Elizabeth, and were holding off with making an official announcement
Was There Even A Baby?

Gossip Cop pointed out back then the absurdity of an American tabloid supposedly knowing about Middleton being pregnant with a fourth baby before the queen and other family members. Additionally, we reached out to Kensington Palace and a staffer in the media relations department audibly giggled over the magazine’s story. Fast forward nine months later and, despite the publication insisting its information came from an insider, Middleton did not have baby number four.
Terrible Tabloids

It bears mentioning how Star has a poor record when it comes to reporting about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Even before the outlet was wrong about Middleton being pregnant with her fourth baby and weighing a scant 96 pounds, it had printed a slew of off-base tales about them. Unfortunately, the publication hasn’t become any more reliable since then.
So True Of False?

Two months after its false report about them having a fourth child, the magazine published a cover story about how Middleton was pregnant with another baby girl. When Gossip Cop reached out for a comment, a spokesperson for the royals told us the premise was incorrect, and if there were actual baby news, it would be “announced by Kensington Palace,” not a tabloid. And just a few weeks ago, Gossip Cop debunked another front page article from that outlet which inaccurately claimed Middleton and her kids were living with her mom after the rumor about Prince William cheating.
Kate Middleton, Kids Living With Her Mom After Prince William Cheating Rumor?

Are Kate Middleton and her three kids living with her mom after Prince William admitted to “making a mistake” with Rose Hanbury? That’s the bombshell claim on the cover of one of this week’s celebrity magazines. Gossip Cop, however, can debunk this inaccurate report.
Inside the pages of Star, the tabloid declares in a headline, “Kate Moves Out!” It even maintains Prince William’s “shocking confession” about allegedly cheating on Middleton drove “Kate out of the palace.” To make its article sound legitimate, the publication contends it has an “insider” who fed the outlet details of a supposed conversation between the two royals.
Unhappy Marriage?

According to the conveniently (placed) unnamed source, Prince William told the Duchess of Cambridge, “He’s been a bit unhappy in the marriage lately.” The prince supposedly added in the private discussion with Middleton, to which the publication was miraculously privy, that he felt they were “losing their spark.” The magazine notes it particularly stung because Middleton is “still dealing with the emotional fallout” from Prince William’s purported affair with Hanbury.
Will It Reignite The Spark?

Following Prince William’s “hurtful revelation,” writes the outlet, Middleton “sprang into action” and took their three kids (Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) to her parents’ home. “She went to her mom’s house… so she and William could have space to breathe.” The tabloid’s tipster alleges the future queen is now having trouble eating and sleeping.
“She just lies in bed worrying about the future,” alleges the so-called “insider,” who explains, “Their marriage hasn’t been the same since the affair story broke.” The purported source asserts, “Kate’s terrified she’ll end up miserable and depressed, just like [Princess] Diana,” who divorced Prince William’s father, Prince Charles, after he cheated on her. Still, the tabloid writes, “Kate’s hoping the move to her parents’ will help reignite the spark.” “Kate hopes that being apart from William will make him realize what he’s missing,” concludes the insider.
“False Speculation”

It bears mentioning that while several outlets regurgitated the alleged affair claims, no legitimate media organizations have said anything about Middleton fleeing to her parents’ home. Also, lawyers for the royal family have categorically denied Prince William was unfaithful, calling reports about it “false speculation.” Additionally, if there were truly strife between the spouses, and Middleton was staying with her folks, she and Prince William would not have attended a couple of royal events together this past week.
Garden Party For Two

Just five days ago, for example, Middleton was all smiles with Prince William as she showed Queen Elizabeth the garden she designed for the Royal Horticultural Society Garden. Middleton was also laughing and by Prince William’s side at a Garden Party the queen hosted at Buckingham Palace the very next day. It’s clear, the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband are not spending time “apart” or that either of them looks “unhappy” in their marriage.
Can We Believe Anything?

Gossip Cop is not surprised by the falsity of the publication’s cover story, based on its track record over just the past few months. For instance, we busted the magazine when it wrongly insisted in September that Prince William and Kate Middleton were being crowned the next king and queen by Her Majesty. A month after that phony report, the outlet splashed on its cover that Middleton was 96 pounds and pregnant with her fourth baby.
Wrong Again

A couple of months after that bogus tale, the publication tried once more with a cover story that Gossip Copcorrected about Middleton being pregnant with another baby girl. Unfortunately, the magazine births a lot of inaccurate articles. But the truth, which the tabloid seems to have little regard for, is that Middleton and her kids have not moved out and living separate from Prince William following the cheating rumors.
Star’s sister magazine made the same claim a month ago. It wasn’t right then, and it’s no more true now. As Gossip Cop has said before, the only ones truly getting cheated on are the readers of that tabloid.
Prince William, Kate Middleton In ‘Divorce Talks’?

Are Prince William and Kate Middleton in “divorce talks”? That’s what is being asserted on the cover of one of this week’s celebrity magazines. Gossip Copinvestigated the claim, and it’s untrue.
The Globe begins its latest piece, “Prince William and his jealous wife, Kate, are consulting divorce lawyers after their marriage blew up over scandalous rumors he was having an affair” with a friend named Rose Hanbury. To make its article sound real, the supermarket tabloid alleges a “courtier” shares how Middleton is “humiliated by rumors William was cheating right under her nose, and refuses to be played for a fool.” The same unnamed tipster maintains Middleton had a “meltdown” and “confrontation” with Prince William, during which she made “nasty accusations” that he denied, saying there was “nothing” to the rumors tying him to Hanbury.
Another Woman?

The magazine then contends it has a second “source” who says in unnatural language, “Kate’s heard talk her hubby has carried a torch for Rose for years and told friends she was ‘the one that got away.’” As a result, the outlet asserts both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have “hired lawyers to talk about custody and money.” The article then notes how Prince William and Hanbury have been friends for many years and ran in the same social circles, including out in Norfolk, where they both have country estates.
“That Could Rock The Monarchy”

Towards the end of its cover story, a so-called “royal insider” reiterates how Middleton “feels she’s being taken for a fool and demanded her ‘rural rival’ be immediately ‘phased out’ of their lives.” “A $250 million settlement isn’t out of the question,” adds the highly suspect tipster, who apparently converts British pounds into American dollars when talking to tabloids. The anonymous and seemingly fictitious source concludes in more bizarrely explanatory verbiage, “This is a full-blown divorce crisis for William and Kate that could rock the monarchy even more than when William’s father, Charles, divorced Diana.”
Kate Vs Rose

While all very dramatic, it’s untrue. There has been speculation as to why Hanbury and Middleton are no longer as close as they used to be, but it’s not because Prince William was unfaithful. Though the royal family generally doesn’t comment on tabloid tales, their attorneys made a point recently to shoot down stories about the future king allegedly cheating as “false speculation.”
Another Divorce In The Royal Family?

Significantly, no highly respected outlets are claiming Prince William and Middleton are in throes of “divorce talks.” Also, the Globe is the same publication that has been repeatedly shown to fabricate a slew of provably fictitious reports about the royals, including tales about (nonexistent) divorces. Recently, Gossip Cop debunked an absurd cover story from the same magazine, which inaccurately declared Queen Elizabeth had ordered Prince Charles to divorce Camilla Parker Bowles.
More Rumors

It’s also interesting that the supposed sources didn’t refer to the Duke of Cambridge as “king,” since it wasn’t too long ago the same outlet insisted Prince William seized the throne after accusing Prince Charles of murder. Suffice to say, there have been many other phony reports from that publication which Gossip Cop busted, including Prince William and Middleton allegedly warning Prince Charles and Bowles to stay away from baby Louis, but they too have been lies. The latest article is no more believable.
Meghan Markle Told Kate Middleton She ‘Forced’ Prince William To ‘Cheat’?

Meghan Markle told Kate Middleton she “practically forced” Prince William to “cheat”? That’s the premise behind a new and untrue tabloid cover story. With the exception of the spelling of their names and a few other facts, much of the magazine’s article is fiction, complete with a string of unverifiable quotes. Gossip Cop, however, is not entirely surprised by the falsity of the report, considering the outlet that published the unsubstantiated claim has a history of being provably wrong about the royals.
Meghan Puts The Blame On Kate

On the heels of its sister publication, In Touch, running a discredited cover story that exclaimed, “Princess’ Worst Nightmare: William Cheats On Kate — With Her Friend” (a woman identified as Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley), Life & Style now contends it has “exclusively learned that rather than offer a shoulder to cry on, Meghan took the opportunity to tell Kate that William’s alleged wandering eye is her fault.” To back-up it phony narrative, an unnamed “source” is quoted as supposedly saying Markle “blames” Middleton for being Prince William reportedly being “unfaithful.”
“It Left Poor Kate In Tears”

The anonymous and possibly fabricated tipster asserts Markle warned the Duchess of Cambridge that had she “made more of an effort to glam up and look attractive, William would never even have looked at another woman.” The same untraceable and seemingly manufactured “insider” maintains, “Meghan told Kate that she practically forced William to cheat.” “It left poor Kate in tears,” adds the unidentifiable “source,” with no evidence whatsoever about Prince William straying from his marriage or that the conversation between the duchesses ever took place.
Is There A Cat Fight?

The rest of the article is filled with accounts of how Middleton and Markle are very different, along with rehashed tabloid rumors about them not getting along. At the end of the magazine’s cover story, its alleged source notes how Prince William is “making headlines for all the wrong reasons, and Meghan’s loving that, for once, it’s not her.” The publication’s report, however, offers no proof at all that the Duke of Cambridge had an affair with Hanbury. In fact, it’s so off-base that in a rare instance, attorneys for Prince William have called this and similar tales nothing more than “false speculation.”
Baby Fever

Life & Style has a track record for publishing indisputably inaccurate cover stories about these same royal family members. Last June, for example, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for insisting Middleton was “pregnant again” with baby number four, just two months after the birth of her third child. And shortly before welcoming her son Prince Louis last April, we called out the magazine for incorrectly reporting Middleton was expecting twin girls.
They Can’t Be Trusted

Additionally, Gossip Cop debunked the tabloid’s untrue cover story about Markle being pregnant with twins a full 10 months ago. It’s also the same outlet that has printed a slew of bogus front page articles about Queen Elizabeth naming Prince William and Middleton the next king and queen, an act she cannot even technically do without parliament enacting a law to change the rules of succession. In reality, the only ones “cheated” are the readers of that publication who are repeatedly sold fictitious tales about the royal family.
