We all want to be remembered at our best when we pass away, and one woman might have cracked the code by filming a funeral montage that ensures she’s remembered as young and sexy.
You may think twenties are a little too young to be preparing for your funeral, but Alexis disagrees. The young woman is someone worth listening to, as well. She has six years of experience in the funeral industry and has seen her fair share.
She noted that so many funeral montages just aren’t flattering enough. So, to ensure that she is remembered in her prime, she has put together her own. The 24-minute-long montage features music, photos, tributes, and messages. Everything you would expect to see in the perfect funeral montage, but tailored by the deceased, and with all of her favourite photos.

These days, reputation is all about curated appearance. Whether it’s tailoring an Instagram or building a perceived life on TikTok, what you put into the world is what people think of you. For Alexis, this is what her 24-minute, pre-prepared, funeral montage is all about.
According to her interview with the NY Post, she initially thought about the prospect after her friend was in an accident. They didn’t die, but they also had nothing prepared for if they did. Along with a few other preparations, she ensured that she would be remembered the way she wanted to be.
“I’m really particular, and I don’t trust anybody to do things the way that I want to do it,” she told the NY Post. “If this happens to me, you make sure I’m right. Don’t have me looking all crazy with two different-shaped eyebrows. I got to have my nails done. I want a specific color of flowers.”
But the pre-planned funeral montage goes beyond simply controlled vanity. There is an element of care involved, too. “By pre-planning and getting your affairs in order and even doing stuff like this, you’re unburdening your family from having to do this,” she revealed. “I’ve been in this situation where I’ve had to put this together at the time of somebody’s passing. You’re just miserable.”
Maybe it could catch on.
