Just a few days ago, a man was arrested at a grocery store in Northern Virginia after being seen pulling his pants down and rubbing fruit and vegetables on his butt, according to local police. Unfortunately, he then proceeded to put the tampered produce back on the shelf, according to store workers.
This occurred at a Giant Food grocery store in Manassas, Virginia on Saturday, September 15th. The culprit, Michael Dwayne Johnson, is 27-years-old and was charged with indecent exposure and destruction of property for pulling down his pants and ruining the produce. At the time of the crime, officers did not know why he rubbed his buttocks on the fruit, but they didn’t believe the incident was mental health related.
The store had to throw away several pallets of produce due to the incident, citing a loss of $46.51. The local store won’t comment on the story and corporate headquarters won’t respond “due to it being a criminal investigation.”
While Johnson was with another person during the crime, that man has not been charged with a crime as of yet. It’s unclear whether the alleged criminal has legal representation. Johnson has told WJLA television that he did not, in fact, actually rub produce on his behind or pull down his pants, contrary to eyewitness testimony. He claims it was all a practical joke meant for YouTube. He hopes that prosecutors will realize the case is a big misunderstanding, as his charges are hefty and he faces jail time for indecent exposure.

What do you think of this crime? Is this man deranged or does he have mental problems? Is it just a case of a good guy gone bad? Did he actually do this or is a prank like he claims?
Does he deserve to be punished if it was just an “innocent” prank?
