Everyone’s elegant until a bee turns up, and then all of a sudden, everyone is a stressed, screaming mess. Watching Emma Stone, all made up and dressed for the red carpet, totally lose her cool over a bee makes for some of the most hilarious photos.
Some of us can keep our cool when bees are about, but Emma Stone is not one of those. While heading down the Eddington red carpet with Austin Butler and Pedro Pascal, a bee decided to make its appearance.
Footage from the scene shows the fuzzy little visitor start to pay attention to Pedro Pascal. Initially, it doesn’t cause a commotion, but Pascal tries to blow it out of the way anyway. It moves over to Butler instead, who also blows it away. Finally, the bee buzzes its way to Emma Stone, and she can’t help but cringe away.
When you’re in front of that many cameras, all flashing away, any kind of weird movement is going to get caught. That’s why people only half blink their eyes, to avoid closed-eye photos. But, the bee was too much for stone, and she screwed her face up in the most hilarious way.
Bee Busted Red Carpet Composure
If the bee had decided to pay Emma Stone a visit at any other time, she could have gotten away with it. But, instead, it went for her while she was on the Cannes red carpet, which is one of the most photographed places of the year.
The hundreds of cameras focused on Emma Stone and Pedro Pascal captured the moment. But the pictures are hilarious, and I am sure she won’t mind that much. Stone has always had a good sense of humour, and the photos are brilliant.
Both Pedro Pascal and Austin Butler can be seen laughing as she shies away from the curious little bee. There isn’t much they could do, no matter how chivalrous they wanted to be. Swatting at the bee would have only made it more likely to sting Emma Stone.
Most of the time, they’re just being curious anyway. It was probably moving in to see if it could get her autograph.
