I am all for a good prank, especially when it’s at the expense of large corporations, but when they get racist, it’s too far.
A YouTube prankster has chosen the popular fast food joint, In-N-Out, as his target and ended up in a bit of hot water. Dressed as an employee, he has been giving unwitting customers the worst experiences of their lives.
The YouTube video, which has since been removed, showed Bryan Arnett dressed in an In-N-Out uniform. Approaching unsuspecting customers, he asks them weird questions and propositions them inappropriately.
“I like watching my wife sleeping with other men. Is that something you’d be interested in?” he asks one In-N-Out customer. Another, he informs that they are only serving gay people that day. Now, although immature, the pranks are harmless and give people something to go home and tell their families about.
On the whole, most of the jokes are in the same style. He even had one friend come in, pretending to be a customer. They claim to have found various items in their food, such as a condom or a cockroach. It’s childish fun, mostly.
However, Arnett crossed the line with several racist jokes.
In-N-Out Fails To See The Funny Side Of YouTube Pranks
Arnett has often targeted In-N-Out with his pranks. In the past, he has hung his picture in an ‘Employee of the Month’ frame. He has also attempted to pay for customers’ orders with pennies. It’s all silly fun, but In-N-Out is looking to sue.
“[Arnett] visited multiple In-N-Out locations in Southern California … wearing a fake uniform bearing [In-N-Out] ’s trademarks.[Arnett] made lewd, derogatory, and profane remarks, such as stating that In-N-Out had cockroaches and condoms in its food, and that In-N-Out Associates put their feet in lettuce served to customers,” the lawsuit states.
The YouTube prankster isn’t bothered by the In-N-Out lawsuit, though. They’re looking to give him a lifetime ban from all their restaurants. They also hope to take all the profits he made from his pranks.
Speaking in another video, also made private, he addressed the lawsuit. “Like yeah, sure, it’ll probably be annoying or whatever, but whatever’s gonna happen is gonna happen,” he said. Like by the prank, die by the prank, I guess.
