Police in Arizona have finally found a way to put people’s tax dollars to work that doesn’t involve shooting them and their dogs to death by delivering the pizza of a driver they previously arrested.
The GrubHub delivery driver was clearly in a rush. Their pay is determined by how many deliveries they can make, and nobody wants a cold pizza. The police pulled the man over for speeding and reckless driving. Give the man a raise; he’s willing to go all out for delivery excellence.
The GrubHub driver was arrested for doing his job too well, and the pizza was going to go undelivered. Thankfully, it wasn’t doughnuts, or it would have gone missing. It must have been a bacon pizza; they’re no cannibals.
With nothing better to do, having arrested the one hard-working person that night, the police delivered the pizza instead. The shocked recipient opened their door to two officers and a still-warm pizza. Thankfully, she didn’t resist the delivery. She would have been found with four gunshots to the chest in an apparent suicide.
Time Well Spent For Pizza Delivery Police
In 2024, Arizona saw only 30% of reported crimes solved. More than two-thirds of crimes committed and reported to police were left open without a guilty party found.
So, it’s good that the taxpayers’ money is finally being used for something worthwhile. Deploying the police to deliver pizza is a much more productive use of their time. It keeps them from shooting people anyway. In 2024 saw a total of 48 people were shot to death by police in Arizona alone. At least with a pizza box in their hands, they can’t pull their guns.
However, with a 30% closed case rate, I wouldn’t trust them with even food delivery. Two times out of three, you wouldn’t get your order.
When a delivery driver was arrested during a traffic stop, our officers made sure the pizza still got to the customer. The order was Hot-N-Ready, and the suspect was Caught-N-Steady. 🍕🚨 We’re committed to serving our community 24/7—whether it’s safety or pizza delivery! pic.twitter.com/mjwy9KXPIk

The Arizona police seemed very pleased with themselves after their arrest and pizza delivery. They were so impressed by their act of backhanded community service, they even posted about it online. The video shows the two officers dropping the food off to a very uncomfortable-looking woman.
