Sleepwalking is a weird condition to have, often ending up with a good couple of strange stories for anyone around to witness it. One woman, a chronic sleepwalker, recoded a number of her nighttime exploits, and they’re wild. She has a whole second life after she goes to bed.
Miranda Knowles, 30, has been an avid sleepwalker since she was only 6 years old. According to her, when she first started with her somnambulism, she would head outside, into her garden, out the gate, and into the woods behind her house. That’s some horror movie shit right there.
But, since then, she has grown up a bit, and her nighttime subconscious has lost its sense of woodland adventure. Now, her sleepwalking habits, although very odd, are much more adult. She’s done everything from cooking food to cleaning the house.
“I will clean, make lunches… I often clean dishes, I have folded clothing, rearranged furniture, and put away decorations.” Continuing, Miranda told the Daily Mail, “I have gathered a bunch of food from the pantry into shopping bags, so I’m not sure what I was [doing with] that.”
Sleepwalking Into Danger
For sleepwalkers, there is always the fear that they will do something dangerous or put themselves in a bad situation. Miranda has had one or two odd sleepwalking sessions. “‘I have walked outside and taken my dog with me, maybe twice [as an adult]. Thankfully, I live in a safe neighborhood, and I have a large [dog] so I feel he would keep me safe.”
But on the whole, it’s actually quite a help to the household. Her boyfriend just gets along with it, too. “Most recently, I rearranged all our cat trees; we have four, and three of them are quite large and heavy,” she said. “I thought it was my husband, but when I asked him why he did that, he said I had done it in my sleep and he just left it.”

But one of the most bizarre is the sleepwalking episode she shared on TikTok recently. She roused herself in the night and ordered a single honey mustard to her door for $8. It must be so frustrating, but it’s also hilarious.
