Usually, it’s best to get stoned before going to town on a pizza, not afterwards.
When certain parts of the US legalized cannabis, it was suddenly in everything. Gummies, pipes, eye drops, you name it, the Americans were infusing it with weed. This has resulted in a few funny situations in which someone has unintentionally gotten stoned after sneaking what they thought would be a snack.
Most people would call ingesting TCH being stoned, or high, but it can also be referred to as a sickness. The sickness involves feeling the normal effects. Sleepiness, dizziness, insatiable hunger, a new appreciation for Phish, and incurable giggles are all noted side effects.
It’s a great feeling when you’re ready for it, but almost 100 people, with ages ranging from 1 to 91 years old, were unintentionally spiked with THC when they grabbed a quick pizza slice.
Extra Toppings On The Pizza
According to the pizza shop, they had accidentally used THC-infused oil when making their pizza for the day. They had run out of oil and grabbed some from the shop they shared a kitchen with. The other shop was a weed dispensary, and happened to have a little TCH oil sitting about.
At least 85 individuals chowed down on the TCH-infused pizza and felt the effects. Emergency services reported to the Public Health Madison and Dane County that many people had come in with similar TCH sickness symptoms. They had all eaten in the same place.
The numerous people dealing with their unexpected high were probably given a nice bowl of cereal and sat in front of some good cartoons. However, an investigation was needed to discover what the problem was.
When the CDC got to the bottom of the THC problem and informed the pizza store of their mistake, they quickly apologized. The oil switch-up was not intentional. The CDC pressed no charges, as the contamination was a complete mistake, and all foods used were deemed food safe.
I think they could learn from this and maybe start selling the THC pizza on the regular, with a warning.
