The death of Ozzy Osbourne straight after his farewell tour was a bittersweet goodbye from one the the world’s best rockers, and people are finding all kinds of ways to pay homage to the Prince of Darkness.
Now, Ozzy Osbourne has been honoured by Safari West in Santa Rosa, California, with the naming of a white rhino. The newborn rhino has been given the name Ozzy by the park. I don’t think he would mind something as cool as that sporting his name.
They got pretty deep with their statement, saying the naming was “a poignant reflection of the circle of life” and “the timing of this birth adds symbolic weight to an already joyful milestone.” I think they’re digging a bit there, but if that helps them find meaning, then go right ahead.
Is A Rhino The War Pig Ozzy Osbourne Was On About?
The rhino will live about 40-50 years if it’s good and healthy. Hopefully, the rhino will help introduce a younger generation to the legend of rock. “Our rhino calf was born on the same day the world said goodbye to Ozzy Osbourne. The name felt like a quiet, meaningful tribute—a way to honor the passing of a bold, unforgettable spirit with the arrival of a new one. It wasn’t planned, just something that felt right,” the park told People.
The death of Ozzy Osbourne came as a shock. He has been suffering from parkinsons for some time, but seemed to be holding on. A few days before his death, an AI video came out. In it, it appeared that Ozzy was saying he was ready to go.
However, Kelly came forward disputing the video, appalled at whoever made it. But, like an omen from the depths of code, he did, actually, pass away only a few days later. His farewell show was a perfect goodbye, standing beside many of the current gods of rock.
Ozzy Osbourne will be missed, but things like the naming of this Rhino will help his legacy live on.
