Getting caught short is the worst feeling in the world. But, usually, if it happens, you keep it to yourself. Taylor Kitsch had no shame about a time he pooped his pants, though, and shared it on TV.
Things shared on TV are out there in the world forever. But, for some reason, that doesn’t stop many people from oversharing things they definitely could have kept to themselves. While talking on Today, Hollywood star Taylor Kitsch got a bit too personal on a segment creatively named ‘Secrets’.
During this time, guests are encouraged to share their deepest, darkest secrets. Most folks will just share a funny anecdote or meaningless bit of trivia, but Kitch decided to go all out. He told the world about a time he pooped his pants before an audition, of all things.
Blame The Coffee
The story was one all coffee drinkers dread. Sometimes the coffee hits all wrong, and it’s action stations, or stains. “I had a strong coffee before my audition and had an accident in the waiting room. I threw my underwear out in the trash can of the bathroom,” he opened with.
Obviously, he couldn’t just leave it at that. People wanted more information on how he pooped his pants and how it got that bad. “I (went to) this coffee truck when we were shooting in L.A. I was in L.A. living out of my car, and I’d get all of these crazy auditions, like, four in a day, and I needed a strong coffee. I’m having it, driving to the audition, I’m sitting in the waiting room just like this, and I s**t myself. No joke.”
It makes me think that there was something more going on with Taylor Kitsch’s stomach than just a stray coffee. “The bathroom door is right there. I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ I’m going in the audition room, I threw my underwear in the garbage can, came back out, and waited and did not get the job… it was a pilot for a TV show of some sort.”
It’s hardly surprising he didn’t get the job after he pooped his pants. I can’t imagine he smelled particularly great.
