A Classic Case Of Mistaken Identity
Another day, another person mistaking a wild animal for a rare breed of dog.
We previously shared a story about a Chinese family mistakenly adopting a bear instead of a dog when they were out on vacation, but now we have another case of mistaken identity for you.
The Dog Is A Fraud!
Now there is another case involving a Chinese woman discovering that the dog she purchased a year ago is actually a domesticated white fox.
The woman thought she bought a Japanese Spitz at a pet store in 2017, but quickly noticed something wasn’t right with her new “puppy.
“While the owner noticed some odd things about her furry friend, like the pet never barked and that it had thick fur, her suspicions about the animal’s true origins grew when the pup refused to eat dog food after three months,” reads a People Magazine report on the case.
Back Where He Belongs
After some time, the owner decided it would be best to call a local zoo. After confirmation and some discussions on the animal’s well-being, the woman handed over the fox to the zoo for proper care.
Keep tuning in because I’m sure someone else will mistake a wild animal for a family pet.
