Facepalm Of The Day
Kids’ birthday parties are supposed to be one of the most wholesome, joyous events of their little lives as they get to romp around with their friends, consume a concerning amount of sugar, and open gifts that typically result in toys galore.
The more grandiose the party, the more work the parents have to put in behind the scenes prior to the big event. So when you hear that a kid has a birthday party featuring a bounce house, you know it’s the real deal. Such parties probably also feature stuff like pony rides or guys in ridiculous superhero costumes (totally not bitter we never got any fancy birthday parties…). When you’ve put so much into such a special day, one would think that any small mistakes or oversights in the execution would be apparent and hopefully corrected in time for the party.
Well, that was clearly not the case here:
This poor artistic representation of Harry Potter features the scarred wizard grabbing the base of his…magic broomstick…with one hand as his smiles merrily, mouth agape and flailing the other hand wildly into the air. To top it all off, the opening where the kids enter and exit the bounce house is directly below and between the very excited sorceror’s legs.
I mean, come on, did they not receive an accurate picture of what the bounce house was going to look like beforehand? Or did they get a mockup, think it was funny, and decide to roll with it anyway? I’m not sure which is worse. You know who definitely doesn’t seem to think it’s funny? The dad in the picture with his hands on his hips watching the kids play, glancing off to the side as if he wants to say, “Is anyone else seeing this?” Whatever scenario led to this situation, I think it’s safe to say more than a few people were left bewildered and uncomfortable with such a suggestive image being featured at a kid’s birthday party.
What would you do if you saw this monstrosity at your kid’s birthday party? Would you just go with the flow or would you try and get rid of it? Let us know in the comments!
