Ever seen a celebrity photo, and reposted it? Well, Kim Kardashian West, a popular media personality and businesswoman, did just that. Now, she’s being sued.
Per a Fstoppers article, the controversial photo was an image shot by photographer Saeed Bolden. It was posted to Kardashian’s Instagram account back in October of 2018, and racked up 2.2 million likes.
Bolden stated Kardashian posted the picture to social media without his consent, and is demanding financial compensation from any profits made from the post.
In addition, Bolden is also suing Kardashian’s shapewear company, Skims Body. The reasoning for this is unclear, as the company had nothing to do with the picture being posted, and did not post the picture on their own social media accounts.
In order to prevent any other similar issues from happening, Kardashian has hired a personal paparazzi. In addition to stopping any other potential legal issues, this will also allow for fan accounts of the reality T.V. starlet to use the photos as well. Multiple accounts have been shut down as a result of using paparazzi-taken photos.
