Yet another plane has crashed in the US, as a small private aircraft experienced trouble in Colorado, killing the two people on board.
The statement from North Metro Fire Rescue District reveals that the private plane suffered technical issues just after taking off. Shortly after leaving from the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, they were contacted by the tower.
Initially, the pilot of the Beechcraft 95 was contacted by the tower. They were made aware of another aircraft, but had failed to alter their course. Eventually, the pilot responded to the call. Radio traffic reviewed by CBS shows the back and forth before the plane crash.
“We’re going to have to go back and re-land. We’ve got the door popped open… We can hardly hear you, sir,” they said over comms. Permission was given to land at the airport, but no response was heard.
Only a few minutes later, a report of a plane crash came over the radio. “They just went down north of 36,” another pilot reported. Emergency services rushed to the scene of the plane crash, but both the pilot and passenger were killed.
Emergency Services Rush To The Scene Of Plane Crash
Fire and medical personnel rushed to the scene of the tragic plane crash. A small fire had to be put out, but other than that, damage to property was minimal. The two people who lost their lives have not had their identities revealed.
At present, the cause of the disaster is not known. There was little to no communication from the pilot before their plane went down. Judging by the initial message about a problem, communication was hard because of the sound of wind through the door.
A full investigation will be made to determine just what went wrong, but this could take some time. A statement from local officials has shared their condolences to the families of the two people who lost their loved ones in the plane crash.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims from this tragic accident,” they released in a statement. It seems there is a new plane crash every week in the US at this point.
