The saying goes, “If you were born to be shot, you’ll never be drowned,” but in the case of this Florida man, it’s a case of “born to be shot, never eaten by a gator.”
The Florida man, named as 42-year-old Timothy Schulz, was seen tweaking out at his local racetrack. Witnesses called the police at around 6 am, saying he was acting bizarre and shaking. Despite arriving at the scene only moments later, Shultz had already shuffled off somewhere else. The half-hour search for the Florida man was fruitless.
However, almost two hours later, Schulz was still enjoying his early morning routine. Another call was made to the police, describing someone fitting his description taking a swim in a gator-infested lake. Bystanders were concerned about the man’s choice of sunrise swim location.
When witnesses tried to help the man from the lake, offering life rings, he growled at them. Police eventually turned up to find that Shulz had made his way from the lake. He didn’t escape unscathed and appeared to have sustained an injury to his arm.
The man was reportedly carrying shears and stalking around, finishing up his morning exercise routines.
Fatal Finish For Florida Man
According to the police report, “As they were arriving, he was walking from the lake between the houses, and he had a set of garden shears with him.” The deputies followed the clueless Florida man, demanding he put down his gardening equipment.
As per the report, while looking for a way out, Shulz attempted to break into a vehicle with a brick, but was unsuccessful. Put out by his failed carjacking attempt, the Florida man turned on the police, brandishing his shears. Fearing for their lives from the one-armed garden tool-carrying gator fighter, the armed police tased him.
You can’t keep a Florida man down, though. This guy was wrestling gators only moments before. He brushed off the 50,000 volts and continued with his plans.”He tried to assault my deputies with shears. Then he jumped into their vehicle, which was an armed burglary with the shears, trying to get the rifle and/or the shotgun out. At that moment in time, all the warnings had to stop, and the action had to begin,” the police report.
And so, the police, unable to pull the injured, preoccupied Florida man from the car, shot him to death.
