Taking home random strangers from the bar usually results in catching something, not losing something.
As a famous man once said, one-night stands are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get. Maybe you take home the future love of your life. Maybe you go to bed with a snorer. Or, maybe, you get between the sheets with a light-fingered thief.
When an unnamed man and his friend were out, partying in Nashville, they met up with two women. Things went well, and they decided to head back to the guy’s place. Consequently, events unfolded as they inevitably do in these situations, and it was time for the man to remove his Rolex and the rest.
Placing his Rolex Daytona on the bedside table, he made sure to hide it under a hat, presumably concealing it from the woman. However, as he went to the bathroom, he noticed her reach across. “The victim states that he came back to the bedroom from the bathroom and observed the defendant reaching over the bed towards where his watch was located,” the affidavit acquired by WVLT states.
The woman he met at the bar, along with her friend, bolted with the $30k Rolex. Their heist had been a success.
Rolex Rollers Arrested
Immediately, the man called the police and reported the missing Rolex and the descriptions of the women he had met in the bar. They responded and searched the local area. In this case, it didn’t take too long for them to be found.
Escaping on foot, they had only made it a block and a half away before they were caught. Audrey Schump, 24, was booked into Davidson County jail, and the stolen $30k Rolex was recovered and is being kept as evidence. Since then, she has been released on a $25,000 bond.
Occasionally, people forget how risky it can be to let someone into your house after a night on the town. There is a huge increase in men inviting women they have only just met through dating apps being robbed. Sometimes it’s best to think with your head on your shoulders rather than the one between your legs.
