Getting into the spirit of things with a youth baseball team is all well and good, but stripping off and streaking at a match is a bit too far.
Two coaches, for some unknown reason, thought that indecently exposing themselves in front of an under-12s match was a good idea. Footage from the game in Upstate New York shows them streaking in front of the kids.
The coaches from Lake Bluff, Illinois, took to the field with nothing to hide their shame. Sprinting onto the youth baseball court, one of them is seen streaking across to the plate, where he slides. Not only did it look painful, but it was also wildly inappropriate.
The kids are heard laughing in some of the footage, asking if they are naked, and expressing their shock. Nobody should be subjected to surprise naked middle-aged men, least of all young kids.
Serious Trouble For Streaking Sportsmen
The repercussions for the streaking youth baseball coaches have been severe. Initially, the teams were disqualified from the tournament. Both coaches were also fired for their naked displays in front of kids. Local sheriffs were then called to the scene to arrest the weird naked men.
“We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and have contacted relevant authorities. We will continue to support those authorities in their investigations of this matter,” the sporting association said.
However, by the time the police had shown up, the streaking coaches had collected their clothes and fled the youth baseball game. Initially, the police arrived just after 1 am, but the coaches had departed. When the police returned the next day, the witnesses had also already left.
Whether the coaches will face any repercussions for streaking in front of youth baseball games is unclear. The local court has reviewed the footage of the naked men, but they aren’t from Illinois. They “advised that prosecution was declined due to the level of criminality involved and the fact that all parties reside out of state.”
However, all those kids and their parents are going to remember what the coaches have done. They can’t get away with stripping naked and streaking in front of kids without some kind of fallout.
