Shoppers in Utah were shocked to see multiple cars careening into their local shopping mall before exploding into a blazing inferno.
The massive fire began when three cars were involved in an accident outside the Herriman, Utah, strip mall. The vehicles smashed through the front of one of the businesses. In doing so, they damaged a crucial gas line, which then caught on fire.
Numerous people were involved in the multi-car incident. But, bystanders quickly rushed to their aid. According to the initial report, there were a couple over the age of 70, a teen with multiple passengers, and one 26-year-old man.
Local firefighters thanked bystanders for their selfless actions in helping the people involved in the strip mall crash, despite the rapidly growing fire. “Two courageous bystanders risked their lives to rescue the driver and passenger from the burning vehicle just moments before it was engulfed in flames,” they said.
Massive Explosion Rips Top From Strip Mall from Crashed Cars
Only moments after the cars crashed into the strip mall, the fire began. Bystanders whipped out their phones, and the carnage was caught on camera. The fire can initially be seen staring in a Domino’s. But it spreads to a nearby Supercuts and Jimmy John’s.

However, as the inferno spread, it was evident it was no regular blaze. Within minutes, the strip mall fire is roaring. And, finally, as bystanders look on, the roof of the mall explodes, engulfing the other stores and crashed cars.
Debris from the mall rains down on the streets, and the crashed cars are completely overwhelmed by fire. People who had stood around to watch the spectacle quickly fled. Even the man shooting footage from far back can be seen to recoil from the resulting explosion.
However, first responders are on the scene, and they fight through the flames. They have not yet released the status of the people driving the cars that crashed into the strip mall. There is also a full investigation into the cause of the multi-car incident in Utah.
At present, it has been reported that only three people were taken to the hospital.
