Going after the police is fine, but killing their dogs is a step too far.
An Italian police dog was killed after being fed sausages filled with nails. The heartbroken handler has gone full ‘John Wick’ on the killers, and sworn to find them and take them down.
The bloodhound was considered somewhat of a hero. It was known for saving nine people during its seven years, and was the pride of the police force. But a group of people, determined to cut its career short, murdered it.
The group fed the police dog sausages laced with nails. After eating them, the hound was found, bleeding to death in its kennels. Arcangelo Caressa, Bruno the Police Dog’s trainer, found the horrific sight. He has been deeply affected by its death and has sworn revenge.
Manhunt for Bloodhounds Murderers
Arcangelo Caressa believes they know who killed the police dog with the nail-spiked sausages. Since the killing, Caressa has been on the warpath. “As I declared, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE, AND YOU WILL PAY FOR IT,” he posted to Facebook.
The keen-nosed bloodhound, as well as rescuing people, also worked to route out criminals. The latest case the canine detective was working on involved illegal dog-fighting rings. These groups can be incredibly dangerous and are inherently violent. They also have few qualms with killing dogs, especially if they work with the police.
Speaking to local paper Corriere della Sera, he said, “It wasn’t a random gesture. They want me to step aside. But I will never give in. This is a vile attack, done for money and revenge.” He believes that the vile act against the police dog was an act of vengeance and a warning for further action.
However, it’s had quite the opposite effect. Now, Caressa is out for blood of his own. I pity the person he finds responsible. I don’t think we will let them go easily.
Even the prime minister of Italy has spoken out after the savage sausage killing of the renowned police dog. Posting on her X account, she thanked the faithful pooch for all it had done during its career with the police.
