When the video of Ozzy Osbourne came out after his farewell show, stating that he was dying, I was surprised. He’s a human pickle. I expect he will outlive most of us. Kelly Osbourne has made her thoughts known about the rumours surrounding her dad.
A video began circling online with Ozzy Osbourne essentially saying his farewells. It addresses his ailing health and tells the audience that he knows he’s going to die. However, it’s a deepfake video, created by AI for some sadistic reason.
Kelly Osbourne posted to her Instagram about the weird video of her dad, rightly disgusted. “So, there’s this video going around on social media, and it’s supposed to be my dad, but it’s AI,” she began. “What the f–k is wrong with you people?” she exclaimed. “Why would you spend your time making a video like this?”
The point or purpose of making a fake video of Ozzy Osbourne telling fans he’s waiting to die is a mystery. But it was realistic enough to get a few people talking. It’s hard to tell the difference lately. AI fakery is getting better by the day.
“It has a voice like my dad’s, David Attenborough or something,” Kelly Osbourne said of the video of her dad. “And it starts out saying, ‘I don’t need a doctor to tell me that I’m going to die. I know I’m going to die.”
Believe None Of What You Hear, And Half Of What You See
The video released of Ozzy Osbourne talking about his death was just one of many celebrity fakes, and something we will need to get used to. Already, with terrible AI, many people are fooled into the weirdest things. And it’s becoming easier every year to make believable fakes.
Even to the trained eye, a video can come across as real. As the technology progresses, it’s only going to become worse. Now, more than ever, it’s important to use critical thinking and approach everything with scepticism. Many people aren’t particularly smart, and as a result, can be convinced of insane things.
However, Kelly Clarkson has nipped this rumor in the bud and assured everyone that her dad Ozzy isn’t tapping out yet. Perhaps his body isn’t the powerhouse it used to be, but there’s life in the old rocker yet.
