A restaurant in Marmaris, Turkey, has come under fire after a video emerged of the bouncers stomping and beating customers.
Initially, the fight broke out in the restaurant because the patrons refused to pay their bill. It came to around $125, and they weren’t willing to shell out. The video shows one of the women in the group shouting at the staff.
As she tries to leave, the customer swings for the bouncer, but he moves away and pulls her back to the restaurant. The argument continues, with more of the bouncers moving toward the non-paying customers.
But things take a turn for the worse when the two women and one man move to the front of the restaurant. A small altercation takes place, and two of the women fall to the floor. The bouncers swarm the customers and begin beating and stomping on the three of them on the ground. More rush over to join in the savage attack on the floored women.
Outrage From Locals And Council
The footage is a shocking display of violence against non-paying tourists. The three customers, including two women, on the floor are mercilessly punched and stomped by the bouncers. One even vaults through a window for the opportunity to beat the grounded, defenceless customers.
“Marmaris needs to be cleaned of this shame urgently. The licenses of these places of business should be revoked. The property owners who rent shops to them should be identified with the financiers, and necessary actions should be taken,” one Turkish poster commented.
“Our state stands firmly against all forms of violence against women. Judicial and administrative investigations into the business and its employees are being meticulously conducted, and all developments are being closely monitored,” the Marmaris District Governor’s Office said in a statement.
However, it is unclear what came of the violent brawl outside the restaurant. As a result, the place was monitored, and an investigation is underway. But whether any punishment was handed out is still unclear.
After that, I imagine those customers will be a bit more careful about paying their bills.
