After a plantation burned down and 10 inmates escaped a prison in two days, an Annabelle doll has been blamed by people who believe it is possessed.
Usually, the Raggedy Ann Annabelle doll resides at the Warren Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut. It is in a secure case, doused in holy wood stain. Crusifixes mark the sides of the box, and inside the prison, the demonic doll is at no risk of harming those around it.
However, when Tony Spera went on tour with the doll, he visited Ghost City Tours in Big Easy, New Orleans. The day after Raggedy Anne left, 10 inmates broke out of prison, and the Nottoway Plantation burned down. People are claiming that the cursed toy broke free and wrought havoc in the local area.
Believers in the occult are convinced that the Annabelle doll was responsible for these goings on. However, Spera is very careful with the cursed Raggedy Anne. “The doll was never out of our control. We take extreme precautions when handling or transporting the doll.” Raggedy Anne even travels with a priest as an added precaution.
Priest Isn’t Enough To Safeguard the Cursed Annabelle Doll
Despite the measures taken while transporting the demonic doll, it wasn’t enough for some.”I did not think people were taking it seriously (because) I kept seeing jokes about it on Instagram and TikTok,” the founder of Ghost City tours said. “I didn’t realize people were out here like, actually thinking that this was legit,” he continued.
The Facebook page for Ghost City Tours has a few people airing their grievances. “She is riddled with demonic attachments. This isn’t the first place that’s burned down just after her visit, and nobody should be surprised when it’s not the last,” one woman posted.
Others have spoken about how the demonic Annabelle doll should never have been moved. Apparently, that is inviting danger. “But they know they are not supposed to move Annabelle or take her out of the box( multiple videos of that) and y’all did both 👀 1000% was her,” another stated.
People warned the ghost tour when they originally posted that they would be bringing her in for a show. Many were scared witless at the idea of letting her out of the box. Even before the plantation burned down and inmates escaped, people knew the Annabelle doll would bring chaos.
But she’s back in her box now, and the world can rest easy.
