Whereas UFO theories used to be the mental occupation of the insane, now, they have become rather mainstream. Conspiracy theorists and believers were worked up into a froth recently, as a mysterious object began pinging up on a weather radar over Washington, DC.
As a storm approached, people watched it roll over Washington, DC on a radar loop. However, keen-eyed Kari Lake, a US special advisor and self-proclaimed “Nightmare for the Fake News,” spotted something odd.
As the radar returned images from the storm, it also pulled up a green line that seemed to be moving across the map. “What is this zooming across the radar over Washington, DC?” she posted to X. “I just pulled up the radar to check on the massive storm overhead and noticed an anomaly on the radar loop.”

Her reactive response to the mysterious object garnered a response to be expected of X users. Within minutes, everything from claims of Chinese attacks to alien conspiracies filled the comments. The end is nigh.
Myterious Washing DC Object Really Rather Boring
Kari Lake certainly isn’t a meteorologist and has no idea how radar works. But, there are folks out there who are. One of them stepped up to clarify just what was happening to make such a mysterious object appear over Washington, DC.
As one young man explained, radar works by bouncing waves across a surface. It returns to the initial tower and paints the picture we see. In this case, the radar, being flung across the Earth at half a degree, was coming into contact with something tall.
In this case, the mystery was solved. With a little investigation, it was possible to find a tall tower not too far from the radar station. This was, essentially, causing a shadow on the radar loop. The radar was bouncing back abnormally, causing the green line across the map.
Since then, she has tried to keep her nose out of weather report speculation. She went back to the usual Donald J Trump toe sucking she usually stays occupied with instead. It’s best if she sticks to things she’s an expert in.
