Annabelle, a renowned cursed Raggedy Anne doll, has been on tour, out of her cage, and now her handler has died, only raising her headcount.
The cursed doll was originally brought home by a nursing student in 1968. However, she and her housemate noticed something was off about the doll. They began noting strange goings-on around the doll. Eventually, they took it to a medium to work out just what was going on.
The medium said that Annabelle was a cursed doll, with an evil spirit inhabiting it. Despite the warnings of the medium, the two girls tried to become friends with the spirit of Annabelle, but she wasn’t interested. Her malicious intent continued.
So, the two girls gave the doll to the Warrens, who were able to keep her evilness locked away in a glass box. Annabelle the cursed doll has been a spectacle for those into that kind of thing, and she’s been held accountable for numerous misdeeds.
Keep Her In The Case
Her handler, Dan Rivera, had taken Annabelle the cursed doll from her glass case to bring her on tour. The Devils on The Run tour was intended to show her off around the US. However, many superstitious people believed this to be a terrible idea.
Already, Annabelle was blamed for a breakout in New Orleans. She has also been pinned, by some, with the fire at the Nottoway Plantation. Some people are calling for her to be put back where she belongs. According to legend, only the glass case can keep the world safe from her evil meddling spirit.
Now, however, to add more fuel to the fire, Dan Rivera, the handler of Annabelle, has been found dead in his motel room. The situation isn’t being deemed as suspicious. There will be a full autopsy report available in the coming months.
Although it has not been fully confirmed, it was suspected that the Annabelle cursed doll was still in his van. But, I imagine many will still blame the evil spirit lurking within those Raggedy Ann threads. Maybe it’s time to lock her back up.
