Ever seen James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment on his late-night talk show, The Late Late Show? It’s a fan favorite segment, where Corden interviews a guest while driving around Los Angeles. At some point, a song comes up on the radio, leading to an impromptu jam session. It’s always fun to watch the celebrity guest and Corden sing together, especially because Corden has some musical talents of his own.
But, it seems he was using his stellar musical skills to distract the audience from one very important detail: Corden isn’t actually driving the car.
According to a Buzzfeed recent article, the car is pulled by a truck. The truth was unraveled as a fan spotted the driving while Corden was filming the segment, and posted the video on Twitter.
Although, to be fair, Corden did drive the car once upon a time. The reason he most likely stopped was due to safety reasons.

Is it understandable why they use a truck to pull the car? Yes. Is it still a little heartbreaking to see some of the magic of the segment ruined? Yes.
