When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go.
A woman, who already has a turbulent past, wrapped up in murder charges, has lost her life after choosing to use the bathroom in front of an oncoming subway train. Obviously, this was a terrible decision, but at least she’s not going to jail.
24-year-old Meanna Torigoe was waiting for the Union Square subway when she needed a pee. Ignoring the red warning sign, she dropped down onto the tracks. Usually, there is a bathroom on the station, but it was 10.20 pm and it closed at 7 pm.
Footage from the incident and bystanders’ reports show the NYC woman stepping onto the tracks and heading into the tunnel. She walked into the darkness of the subway to use the bathroom. But, only 15 seconds later, she was spotted sprinting back to the platform.
However, she was too late, and the subway train caught up with her. Just as she had her hand on the ladder, the train pulled her along the subway platform. Of course, the injuries sustained by the woman were fatal, and she died shortly after.
Murder Rap For Woman Using Bathroom On Subway Track
Prior to her death by subway, the bathroom-using woman had a pretty interesting past, including a murder charge. Torigoe was charged, alongside her boyfriend at the time, of beating and stabbing their roommate to death. According to the charge, it was over excessive noise.
The two of them were charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. However, the charges against her boyfriend of the time were dropped, according to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
At the time of her death, Torigoe was on probation on a weapons charge. But, I doubt she will be making it to that hearing.
Footage and eyewitness accounts from the scene have ruled out foul play. She clearly walked onto the subway tracks to use the bathroom and then regretted her decision before being hit by the train. It’s not suspected to be suicide either, although if being suicidally stupid were illegal, she would be guilty.
