There wasn’t anything on the hotel’s Google reviews about stray human body parts being left around.
There are some pretty cummy hotels out there. Rock-hard beds, out-of-order air conditioners, and weak coffee are all par for the course. But Tory Spelling found one that took the crown when her dog turned up with a severed human toe while staying in a hotel in Toronto.
Amazingly, when Tory Spelling brought the toe to the attention of the hotel staff, they weren’t all that perturbed. She’s left the name of the hotel out of her story, sadly. However, I think a Torontonian may be able to guess at the place.
“One time when Dean and I were together, we were in Toronto, and we were filming…[and] we had two days off,” she began, on her podcast MisSpelling. “So we’re like, ‘Oh, let’s go stay at this amazing Victorian hotel or something.’ So we went and stayed at this hotel, and I think it was me and Dean, and my dog.”
Tasty Toe Roomservice Delivery
Before the severed toe turned up, Tori Spelling and her partner were enjoying the hotel. “And it was like the most prestigious hotel in Toronto, and old school and beautiful. And we were like, okay, we’ve been working hard…[so] we ordered room service and we were gonna watch a movie.”
But the evening took a gory turn when they noticed that their dog was at the end of the bed, overly interested in whatever it had in its mouth. “Musso found something, and we were lying in bed watching a movie. He was chewing on something at the end of the bed,” she said. “And we’re like, what does he have? And we kinda went back and forth, like, did he get our food? Like, did he find a bone here? Like, what is he chewing on?”
Pulling it from the dog’s mouth, they were horrified to find a severed human toe in their hotel room. “I grabbed it out of his mouth, and that’s when I found it was a severed human big toe, and the creepy part is it wasn’t that old.”
Apparently, it looked fresh and like it had been cut clean off. They wrapped it in a napkin and took it down to the hotel staff. However, they weren’t particularly fussed. “The hotel kind of had no reaction,” she claimed. “They were like, ‘Oh, we’re so sorry.’”
Not exactly the nicest way to start a holiday.
