The thought of hooking up on a one-night stand and ending up with a child is enough to give most people nightmares. But, for one couple, it resulted in 11 kids, and thankfully, a happy marriage.
My extended family is quite large. My grandmother had ten children, and some of those children have followed suit. One of my uncles has also had 11 kids, so I am no stranger to obsessive breeding like this. I was one of three, on the other hand, so it’s still baffling why anyone would choose to do something like that.
Alicia and Josh Dougherty met on a date, and two days later, they moved in together. Within almost no time at all, they started producing kids. And then, because the process wasn’t fast enough, they also started adopting too.
Within only a few years, the virile couple had amassed a total of 11 kids. Seven of them were adopted, and four are natural-born. At this point, I hope they call it a day. Alicia has monetised her soccer team of a family, and posts videos of themselves and herself on TikTok.

Having 11 kids isn’t a walk in the park, and it isn’t cheap either. However, Alicia and Josh seem well within their means. The food they eat looks great, and the house they live in doesn’t look like a zoo. She clearly has the time for it, and he has the resources.
I imagine that, by turning her family into a TikTok sensation, her 7.7. million followers help somewhat. Her content is intriguing, if not slightly terrifying. It gives me some kind of morbid fascination watching someone’s entire life become the feeding of a small army.
I have seen huge families in the past with too many children, and no responsible way to take care of them. This doesn’t seem to be the case here. The smiling gang of children all seem well fed and loved with all their parents’ hearts. She’s provided 7 adopted kids with a beautiful forever home, and that’s commendable.
Everyone has a hobby, I guess. For Alicia and Josh, it’s collecting kids like Pokémon cards.
