What is the point of being a firefighter if they can’t reap the benefits and give hot girls a ride in a firetruck every so often? They’re paying their wages anyway.
But, according to Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker, giving hot girls a quick spin in a firetruck is behaviour worthy of being suspended. “When I learn of behavior that is contrary to the rules and regulations of the Department, I act swiftly and decisively to address it,” the boring old fart told the NY Post.
The act of public service landed the lieutenant a suspension with no pay for five days. The unlucky firefighter is also being transferred. No other firefighters on the firetruck have been suspended yet, but an investigation is underway.
Footage from the scene shows the girls hanging from the firetruck, having a blast. It could have worked as a wonderful, humanizing promo for the depot, but the jealous old Fire Commissioner was having none of it.

Along with EMTs, firefighters are some of the best of us. Every day, they put their lives on the line to save people from fires, accidents, and cats from trees. Their selfless acts save countless lives every day. Surely they should be allowed a little fun here and there.

Sadly, though, the jealousy of the commissioner got the better of him. Watching the lieutenant making such smooth moves with his firetruck and the hot girls was too much. Despite the firefighter not missing any emergencies or causing harm, he was suspended.
A little downtime is deserved for people who spend most of their time on the knife edge. Showing some girls a good time is team and morale-building.
You have to wonder if he had given a ride to some kids rather than hot ladies, would he have been suspended? Was it simply because they were flirting, or was it actually a breach of regulations? I would go so far as to suggest he may have even been praised had it been a group of eager kids
Either way, the internet is backing the suspended lieutenant. Let the man show some lucky ladies a good time.
