Ozzy Osbourne’s big farewell saw a wicked selection of artists pay tribute to one of metal’s most iconic performers, but, according to Sharon, one band was disinvited for being too greedy.
The event was a perfect circle for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. The original crew got together and played their final show not far from where they were formed. Despite Ozzy not being able to stand up due to his parkinsons, he gave it his all, and somehow didn’t die on stage.
The show wasn’t supposed to be a cash grab, and it wasn’t a show of egos. It was a show of respect to his fans and a fitting end to the legacy of rock. Numerous other bands and artists showed their appreciation for Sabbath and Ozzy. But one wanted to make it all about the money.
Sharon informed fans via Billboard that one band had been disinvited from Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell show. “It’s not the time to make a profit. After the show, I’ll let everybody know who it was. I think people will be shocked.”
Fans Speculate On Ozzy Osbourne’s Disinvited Farewell Lineup Act
There has been a lot of talk about the disinvited performer for Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell show. To be kicked off something as huge as that takes some doing. But the show was no place for greed, and if they were trying to make it about profit, there was no place for them, according to Sharon.
Many of the groups that could have been there have become a little money hungry over the years. In fact, some of them always were. Kiss has always been more about the cash, and so, a lot of people suspect it could have been them.
But, in the current Reddit discussion, the most likely culprit is Motley Crue. However, most people don’t seem to think it was such a big loss. They’re getting on, and sure, their music may be in many rockers’ most-played lists, but watching 60-year-olds on stage can be cringe inducing.
Sharon hasn’t revealed who it was that ended up disinvited from Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell show. But we’re all waiting to find out.
