In a tragic incident, the stepson of Dog the Bounty Hunter shot and killed his son in their apartment. The family is left shocked and grieving.
Police were called to the scene of the crime over the weekend. The son of Dog the Bounty Hunter’s wife was living in his Naples, Florida, apartment with his son and wife. On Saturday night, around 8 pm, the police arrived to find that Dogs’ stepson had shot his step-grandson to death.
There have been no arrests made, and the police are calling it an “isolated incident.” A statement from the representatives of Dog the Bounty Hunter refers to the killing of his step-grandson as a tragic accident.
“We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible, tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony,” they told TMZ.
Dog And Family Left Grieving After Fatal Shooting
Gregory Zecca is the son of Dog’s current wife, Francie. He is a child from a previous marriage. However, he has some similarities with his stepfather in that he is a gun nut. It was his obsession with firearms that resulted in the death of his son.
Dog met the wife of his stepson after they both lost their respective partners. They were there to support one another through their grief. It then blossomed into a relationship, and they now work together. Zecca is also a part of his stepdad’s bounty team.
However, the death of Dog the Bounty Hunter’s step-grandson would have been easily avoided with some stricter gun regulations. Often, in the US, families will kill one another because of uncontrolled firearms. There have been many situations in which kids kill family members, or parents accidentally shoot kids.
Of course, Americans will never allow anyone to take their guns away. As a result, there will always be situations like Dog the Bounty Hunter’s stepson. Until they are taken from people’s homes and hands, there will continue to be accidents like this.
A deadly weapon has no place in a family home. Until the US realises this, this will be a story told time and time again.
