Disney fans will be delighted to know that a new 600-page document outlining a fifth theme park has emerged, suggesting the biggest location yet.
The plans, which have been submitted to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, contain a blueprint for the proposed park. It is composed of one major location and a number of smaller parks attached. According to People, this mega park will cover around 2,629 acres.
The initial, main Disney theme park will be around 500 acres. The smaller ones will be about 300. These sizes are not set in stone, and probably represent a high estimate, but they give Disney space to build without limit.
Along with the enormous proposed land use for the new Disney theme park comes a proposed budget. In 2024, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the CFTOD approved Orlando Disney to invest $17 billion in their business. This includes new parks.
What To Expect From The Fifth Disney Theme Park
The plans outlining the land usage for the new fifth Disney theme park don’t give too much away. However, some things can be gleaned from the blueprints. Included is a large water area, possibly to be utilized for water parks.
There are also expansive areas for dining and accommodation. Included are also the little slave tunnels that the staff are forced to crawl through to get from one end to the other of the huge theme park.
This will be the first new Disney theme park since 1998. Despite Disney constantly updating and refurbishing their parks, a lot has changed in the 27 years since. Starting completely anew and building from the ground up will produce a spectacle that has never been seen before.
With an estimated net worth of 218 billion, The Walt Disney Company has plenty of money to pump into a new location. This proposed fifth Disney park will be built sparing no expense. I have no doubt that the minute they open their doors, there will be millions of fans clamouring to spend a year’s wage on themed rides and overpriced snacks.
