It’s no secret cyclists have been getting a little bold lately. I see at least one just blatantly ignore stop signs, at their own risk, in my neighborhood every single day. They seem to think their two wheels, helmet, and alarmingly tight shorts afford them the same privileges of a car minus the responsibility of obeying traffic laws.
These are not the same cyclists we’re discussing today. Maybe some of them break traffic laws in their spare time but this race was taking place where they can break all of the rules they want, out in mother nature. Unfortunately for them, our metaphorical traffic law in this story is a fully grown, and seemingly very angry, bull.
As you will soon see, some of these cyclists attempted to treat this bull like a stop sign, something they can just ignore and peddle past. A bull is kind of like a stop sign. If stop signs were very large and often charged at things, like cyclists, which have just been added to the list of things a bull will charge at.
Maybe Just Stop And Rest Until It’s Gone?
“That’s not a cow.”
No, sir, it’s probably not a cow. However, it could be a really fast cow with horns.
“Oh, shoot, we missed our window it’s moving.”
I think it’s safe to say the bull slammed the window shut, by completely annihilating a cyclist who thought it was a good idea to just peddle past it. What was the cyclist even thinking? Did they not notice the crowd of other cyclists gathered to wait for the gigantic bull to pass before continuing the race?
Maybe I’m assuming but maybe they had the “I’m untouchable” mindset we see in a lot of cyclists. They could have thought, “Oh, I can make up some time in the race. Surely this bull won’t absolutely smoke me. Look at my helmet and shoes that clip into the peddles.”
Then the bull completely laid them out and circled back to do it again. Because it’s a bull.
