The little things matter, just as much as – if not more than the big things. It’s important to acknowledge and take in all the positivity you possibly can. Appreciate the small joys in life people!

When an accidental joke of mine nails the biggest laughs. That stuff is addictive.

I have a chronic illness that used to land me in the hospital twice a year. I’ve made some lifestyle changes, and I’m now at the point where every day is a new record! It’ll be 3 and a half years since my last hospitalization.

A really really good pen.
I really like the Pilot G-2 07. It’s simple, it’s cheap, it lasts forever, it’s a good grip size, and it writes perfectly.

Okay, so where I work we have this little water fountain for birds and all that. But better than birds we have little visitor bees that just do their little buzzing with their little bee wings and spend all day chilling in the little bee spa drinking up the water with their little bee tongues.
BUT, sometimes the little dudes get too adventurous and fall in. They do this little thing where they lay on their backs and wiggle their thorax but just end up getting their flying flaps wet. Next thing you know their spa day turns into a Life Alert™ commercial.
So when ever I can I try to save these little dude(ettes) because they are just doing their own thing and accidents happen, you know. But when I save them and put them out to dry off, sure enough they are at it again, doing bee stuff like it all never happened.
That’s what I enjoy. I enjoy their persistence and that they never give up even after failing. When everything goes wrong they work past it and keep on buzzin’. I wish I could keep on buzzin’ like that. But they are drones, and sometimes I have to remind myself of that.

When my friends ask if I want to hang out, it makes me very happy someone cares enough to ask.

New music releases from some of your favourite artists. Or discovering new music from artists you’ve never heard of. I could shut myself away for days just looking for new music. I love it.

Checking the clock when you’re at work and realizing you only have 15 minutes left to your shift.
Pure joy.

Hugs!
Sometimes you just really need a hug.

I got a new coffee mug recently, and I got so excited. My first several cups of coffee with that mug felt like an adventure.
Funny how I can get excited over a coffee mug as an adult, whereas I wouldn’t have cared at all as a child.

On my route to work, there’s a stretch of road with a big grassy section along the shoulder. Sometimes, these big brown bunnies will be out there hopping around and nibbling the plants. I love bunny mornings.

I have a seven and a half month old daughter. She is pretty small for her age.
When I put my face up close to hers, she puts her hands on my face and says “da-da, da-da”. And it’s not so much that she calls me “da-da” but that she has claimed me as her father.
This little kid, slightly underweight and not very tall (according to the pediatrician), that can only really communicate with two words and a few hand gestures, has a gift for making me feel necessary.
I am excited to see this kid continue to change my world in the most unexpected and amazing ways. Never imagined this would happen to me. Never imagined being called “da-da” could make me feel like a better man. It’s really exciting and inspiring.

There’s always that first day when you wake up, go outside, and feel the fall in the air. At least where I live, there’s a distinct smell, breeze, and overall ambience about fall and it’s probably the best time of the year.

When my husband gets home from work, my son just lights up. It’s the best. He’s with me all day. I’m the snuggler, the food, the maid, and the mommy.
But when he sees his dad, it’s like he sees his best friend, and it’s absolutely the best part of my day.
