No one loves violence against children like the Star Wars franchise! In the prequel trilogy, it all started with Sebulba sabotaging the vehicle of, and essentially trying to kill, a young Anakin Skywalker right before a pod race to make a little cash. And it ended with an older Anakin Skywalker returning the favor on a bunch of younglings. Needless to say, it’s rough to be a kid in the Star Wars universe.
With last week’s release of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the kids still aren’t catching a break! Like all new video game releases, there were some glitches. This is pretty standard for new games nowadays as there is typically so much detail it’s nearly impossible for developers to catch every single thing leading up to the release date. It’s why updates exist but for the sake of humor, I really hope they leave this one in!
Stopping The Empire Before It Starts
Like all things, Twitter users were quick to notice:
As many people would do with a knowledge of the future, this player decided to try to stop some pretty awful things before they had the chance to happen. Does everyone know the young kid you just senselessly murdered eventually leads to the downfall of the Jedi? Probably not. Are you going to jail? Probably. Did you save the Jedi? Absolutely!
Unfortunately for our friend here, his plan of saving the Jedi was thwarted by a fun little glitch that causes you to fly any time you attack a character you aren’t supposed to. Unfortunately, this means we still have to re-live the downfall of the Jedi but at least you can float over crevices by attacking unsuspecting characters. Maybe try it on Palpatine!
Have you seen any other fun glitches in games? Let us know in the comments!
