Meet Mark The Dog Guy Imhof, an accountant turned animal groomer based in New York City. What makes this groomer stand out from the rest is that when he isn’t primping pets for his business, hes offering his services for free to rescue dogs looking to get adopted.
The idea of grooming shelter dogs occurred to him when he adopted a pit bull named Cleo.
[She] was so utterly defeated when we brought her home, he says. A simple shower just lifted her spirits and we thought, wouldnt it be great if someone could go groom shelter animals? And it became me.
Imhof has done dozens of free of charge work for adoptable dogs in New York City area ever since. Plenty of those dapper dogs have found loving homes and just couldnt be happier.
